  2. Is it just me or are mirrors on front guards the hottest thing since button up shoes? I can't get enough of them. Maybe i should throw a pair on the KE10. I'll take the 1600 and R100, they're hot....

  5. Anybody? Ok another question then. Can anybody tell me if KE20 springs will fit straight into a KE10 strut?
  6. Ok, i'm having some drama with the upgrading of my suspension. I cannot find new springs or lowered springs anywhere for a KE10 though everyone seems to have KE20 gear. I always have the option of resetting whats in there but i want to leave that to last. I have seen where a few people say they have swapped KE20 struts into their KE10. Can anyone tell me exactly whats involved and is it a bolt in job? There is a KE20 at a local wrecker which i have already raided for the discs and hubs. Do i just need the strut and nothing else? Also while i'm on about suspension i want to replace all the rubbers. Yet again nobody lists KE10 stuff so does anyone know what will fit or can be adapted to fit? I know this is a little repetitive but i have searched and have found no real detail. Being not very bright when it comes to mechanical things detail is what i need.... Any help is really appreciated.
  7. So has anyone here done a 5k or 7k into a KE10? Mine already has a 4k in it so i would assume the 5k or 7k wouldnt be too much drama. Would i assume right or wrong?
  8. I would have to agree with a few of the guys above. I owned an SR powered 180 pushing 225RWKW and it was a bit of a handful. I guess though after a while no matter what power you have its never enough.

  11. Nearly all done. Went to the wreckers today on my RDO and picked up the parts i needed for 50 big ones. Know a chicky at a parts place who has some bearings sitting on the shelf with my name waiting on them. Still have to get some brakes lines made up as the old ones were pretty shagged. I really didnt think it would be so easy... *EDIT* While i'm here can anyone let me know what sort of booster to use and what sort of problems you run into mounting it? Some pictures would be good if anyone has any...

  13. Ok, i plan to upgrade the front drums on my KE10 to discs. After searching for quite a while all i found was that KE20 hubs bolt up. Searching through my local wreckers i have found one complete KE20 with massive amounts of rust the guy wants 500 for (dreaming) and a basic shell with the hubs and discs still on. Now i'm no mechanical mastermind so bare with me. On one side of the incomplete car, under the strut where the ball joint joins the strut, the 'cap' is missing meaning the control arm and strut are 'flailing'. Is it possible to use a cap off another corolla like a KE30, 35, 50, 55 etc or must it be from a KE20? In another yard i found a KE25. The guy there tells me that KE20 and 25 use the same brakes. I was a bit dubious about this so i thought i would ask here first. Also the guy with the incomplete car says he used to race them and that he once put a complete front end from a KE20 into a KE10. How much custom work would be invloved in this setup? He also says that i can just swap over the complete strut, is this possible? Is there any other ways to get a disc on the front of my KE10. I'm really at a loss here and any help is much appreciated.

  15. Mikey they were released here as Nitephyre says, a Lexus LS400. Mine was imported from Japan so its a Toyota Celsior. The Celsior started in 89 and the LS400 in 90 but the Celsior was stopped in 93 i think. The celsior actually got more luxury items back in the day....
  16. Gavclassic: sounds pretty good mate. Got any pics of the interior by any chance? Also, you couldnt help with a pair of tail lights could you? Dan: the celsior comes standard with an air bag system. My car has a 10 switch setup fitted as well as a bigger tank and compressor. It was modded before i got the car.
  17. Ok guys i have been lurking here for a little while waiting to buy a car. Well last weekend i picked up a 1969 KE10B which was advertised on this forum. Reading through here a bit i see its advised to intro yourself and throw up some pictures of your car, so here they are. I bought the car with the intentions of painting it, putting in a new interior and using it as a daily driver. The car is already fitted with a 4k and 4 speed, so i'll be looking out for a 5 speed soon. Other than the KE10 i own an 89 celsior fitted with 20's and an aftermarket air bag controller and tank. Hopefully i'll be able to get plenty of info from here for my build up and maintenance....[attachme nt=7954:attachment][attac hment=7957:attachment]
