Suspension Specialist Southside Brisbane?
CREEDY replied to Killar_of_giants's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
Most places will only adjust toe for wheel alignment. ke series usually have adjustable caster too. try a place with a laser sight wheel alignment machine (hunter, visualiner, hoffman etc) i found the older ones i used weren't hugely accurate. -
Any painter who knows their stuff should be able to match it by eye.

My "norwegian" Ke20, Need Help With Lowering \ Stance.
CREEDY replied to Ovegaa's topic in Automotive Discussion
lowered springs for the front and blocks for the rear is the easiest way. consider moulding the flares on, i did and it looks great. my KE35 is running 14 inch wheels 7inch wide 185/55/14 tyres -
you can find most things on ebay, but if your car has good condition original parts then don't change them for horrible looking aftermarket chinese ones.

Picked up a 1996 caldina wagon on the gold coast with the 2c-t diesel turbo. Seen hundreds of them in NZ but never seen one here in aus. What would this be worth here in australia? I'm 100% sure i got my moneys worth just want to know its' approximate resale dollar value. Auto, shifts smoothly Clean and tidy interior Engine immaculate Everything works cold a/c etc Alloys with good tyres 300km, timing belt done at 260km Got a clean sheet RWC

get any radiator and make up brackets&hoses to fit

bump up the idle speed and don't worry:)

I'd go if the 30 was done and the 35 was in the country......

welding the springs to the cups and tidy grinding/painting passes roadworthies ;)
-
why not just drop the 4k in? if you've "cooked" the 3k you might want to compression test it to make sure the rings aren't "jellied" before you go swapping heads.

cut off factory rails, weld flat plate between them, measure and drill holes to suit new seats, bolt/weld on new seats. simple,

cheers, i don't really have much left in nz just the sr coupe and a motorbike. Anyone else done this before?
-
Does anyone have any contacts in the shipping industry? I want to ship my 1977 ke35 SR Coupe from NZ to the gold coast/Brisbane. I'm well aware that i can buy a similar/identical car here (My wife has a ke55) and that it will be VERY costly however this vehicle has great sentimental value.. The car was used in our wedding, the engine has been worked and rebuilt, has had a full panel and paint, bare metal rust removal, plating, undersealing,(not just a bog job), flared guards etc etc Any help/contacts would be much appreciated

i add a litre of methylated spirits to the tank every now and again especially if running ethanol fuel. it soaks up excess water and allows it to go through the fuel system and not sit in the bottom of the tank.
-
measure how low you need to go and get the springs reset/compressed. suspension shops and some engineering mobs do this. if you compress them lots you may need your shocks shortened
-
good swap. subarus are crap.
