  1. in canberra to get the rego transferred it has to go over the pits :rant: so the turbo has to come off regardless because its not engineered :bash:
  2. theres a 99% chance I'm going to buy this car expect some pics soon :thumbsup: now to all the guru; ive spent the day researching about what i need to do to fix this, it seems reasonably straight forward. but I'm going to throw a spanner in the works, locally ive found a whole ke70 for a ridiculously low price to buy as a parts car but it comes with a 4 speed corolla box, the box in the car currently is a 5 speed. will the 4 speed bolt straight up and will it do untill i can save up for the celica box on the condition i don't flog it? and yes, I'm planning on taking the turbo off untill i can afford the celica box. cheers, stuart.

  7. hey guys, first time post. I'm currently in the market for a ke70, i just went to look at one and it had a k7 turbo in it but the gearbox was grinding alot, I'm not sure what the reason. hoping someone hear could help? i think its from all the torque going through a k5 gearbox and the gears mashing together (i honestly have no idea :bash: ) if i do buy it what sort of gearbox would it need, I'm assuming w50? will this bolt up to the k7 and where can i get one in canberra? cheers, stuart.
