  1. Hi, Took me forever to find replacements for mine but I did. Pic below: Imported them from Japan NOT CHEAP....Planning to measure and custom machine some from a bar or raw stock harder Nolathane stuff. But a few other guys here have custom made. As in Australia from what I can find can't get this part :) Cheers Cameron
  2. HAHAH Taz I bid $695 on them they would suit my half built 5K :locked: But net dropped out and the winner got them for like $705 but rang the seller he used to be in speed way so I beta few old speed way guys have some good K motor gear kicking around. Doogs I rang Yella terra when I saw these roller rockers for sale. He said they still have patterns and all for these and could make them a bit different if needed i.e change ratio so if your pockets are deep ring them they could do it. But again I know the vavles on a ported K motor are to small id invest in getting bigger valves before pushing them open more. As even TRD motors didn't run roller rockers just shot peened stock ones and bigger valves so id look more into this path worked for TRD so see what you can do. Cheers Cameron
  3. Just though Id pop my head in and let you know Yella Terra make off the shelf roller rockers for a K motor. $998 a set when I last priced had none in stock. But will make more to sell if you buy 10 sets..LOL So put me off as I would never find 10 people willing to spend $998 on roller rockers for a K motor but hey Yella terra do/did make them. There are sets out there a set was on evil bay a while back sold for $700. So keep your eyes open. Cheers Cameron
  4. Just ask your friendly Toyota dealer for a burnt copy of all the EPC cd's :( Mine goes back to KE55. BUT no older in the corolla :) But that site is good WAY easier to use than the actual software..LOL Need a degree jsut to use it. Cameron
  5. ^^^ Fusion Excellent info as I believe KE2X and KE1X have same stroke not 100% sure but. Cameron
  6. Spotted 55lde on ipswich motor way today I went past in right lane.
  7. Ah excelent well at least I know newer models might be similar.>LOL I have been told TE27 and KE2X shocks are different but due to the diff but that is jsut a side note. How do you measure the right length of shock that would suit your car but? As I can measure my KE1X and go from there also. Cheers Cameron
  8. Hi, I know we could go on for ages about shocks different options but I wanted a fast quick answer really. Would KE30 shocks fit a KE1X? If not why not? Also KE3X to KE7X are they all the same shocks? Cheers Cameron
  9. There is a KP61 that gets around Ipswich here in QLD. A RAAF guy owns it don't know history but it does move..LOL Would be nice to have but guessing it is close to Perth as yoru location under your name says that :D Cameron
  10. WOW WOW WOW... No don't run a solid cam with Hydro lifters good bye push rods, lifters, lobes on cam I did it once before in an emergency and will stuff motor.... Hydro lifters use different ramp rates etc research it wont work. Cameron
  11. Not to hijack thread but mine has it got all factory manuals and books and all on it :y: So not many folks paid to get it was pricey but every corolla since day one has had the option for A/C Cameron
  12. HEAPS OF DIFFERENCES. ANd your prob looking between a KE15/17 to KE10/11 and seeing a shorter boot as sprinters have a whole different rear end. As for difference between KE10 and KE11 HEAPS. also differences between KE11 adn other KE11 of different years. Some thing mentioned above yes also tail lights differed. dash parts, dash layout, aircon system, optional extras changed a lot, running gear were a K or 3K motor but internals changed a lot. suspension even slightly different front strut. Tie rod ends changed, shape of front guards, front indicators on guards, and heaps heaps more. If you give us an exact model KE1X like year month of build. VIN. Pictures etc we can pin point exact differences much much easier. Cheers Cameron
  13. The first ever corolla released KE1X had optional aircon and tinting on windows as Corollas have had it since 1968. Usually has a switch saying A/C on dash if you have air con. If it is just a fan try fuse if not motor could be shot. CHeers Cameron
  14. I drive on that road every week ^^ 4ages. Ill suss it out tomorrow night. Did it have rego? Cameron
  15. ^^^ Semi true semi not true..LOL KP centers will fit in a KE1X diff they how ever did have a U series diff. But there are 2 types pending year of the KP61 was made depends if diff will fit. Look at my KE15 build thread notice the centres on the last page.... there for KP61/KE. And they fit. Cheers Cameron
  16. Tighe in Brisbane I have had no issues with and they helped me HEAPS witha cam once before and he does a lot of work and is pretty old school so I don't think internets is his thing..LOL But He will do anything you ask for really. I wanted some of his grinds in hydro setup in a 5K once before so he did (hrdyo have different ramp rates etc to normal cams etc) As all his are for solid lifters. Well he ground it for hydro and workds great :( So there good but I think phone is best way to get him. And you tell him what you want he will also grind it to that so don't also just go by what is on his site as same price he will grind anything for a K motor. So if you want more duration etc jsut ask. Cheers Cameron
  17. Hard to tell by the photos but did you paint the inside off the diff the gears and all??? Tell me you didnt
  18. Hi, I got the rubber kit off ebay for my KE15 and fits like a finger up your bum. Tight, doesn't leak water, all clips there and fit, rubber not perished or cracking. ETC. Hardest part was gluing the boot rubber on. The original Toyota rubber clipped onto the boot. But I did find his kit very good in fact. But again I have not tried the windscreen rubbers yet just doors and boot. Cheers Cameron
  19. Hi, Yes well that it yes I own 2 KE1X LSD now Both TRD ones one has a TRD ring gear and WOW are the TRD ring gears made better it is a 3.9:1 ratio ring gear to. Felix since you last saw it car runs on 13 inch Kuhmo tires so yeah ditched the 12 inch rims and crap tires that were on it I think they were 20 year old they never would of passed a road worthie. mattress Yes I was selling the one on the left on ebay. It fits. But priced a new clutch pack for one of these bad boys $400+ (pending exchange rate, fitment, what type, If TRD have any in stock etc). So I decided to keep it as the one I was selling is loosely assembled as it has been re-built and never used :2thumbs: So to answer your question Fleix not for sale anymore. But if I come accross a third Ill let you know. One with ring gear has 5000Km on it non racing just road use. Fairy good clutches. Think one on left is 2 way one on right is 1 way not sure haven't inspected one on right of photo closely yet. Oh BTW Both these fit KE1X and take 6 inch ring gear Felix Both made by TRD. Also Front sway bar will be fitted these are not going in car any time soon. Planning on a full diff rebuild with the LSD center new rear leafs shocks rear sway bar also have spare KE1X struts in shed going to fully rebuild them to and fit them. All new bushes in car etc plan to go fairly full on on suspension. Also bought some new NOS LCA bushes for a KE1X car. Getting them remade in better material like nolathane bushes when I get time so I can keep making them and have spares for my car as they wear in another 20 years time..LOL Cheers Cameron
  20. UPDATES Well not a full update but just a tease.....Think about it just think think about it................. Cameron
  21. Hi, Felix yes drove it a bit in hiding to test out thermo sensing switch I have and with a bad tune 5K pinging kept cool so ill see how I go. As on my KE30 I run a front mount fan off a commodore fits straight on no issues parked in 40 degree traffic on motorway in grid lock so hope KE15 performas the same. Also I have a KE20 radiator in my KE15 that has been re-cored. Is thicker than a normal KE1X radator so I have less room. As when I got the car the original owner had a KE30 plastic fan on it and it ate the radiator  Cheers Cameron
  22. Hi, Ok water pump. You have a KE1X pump by the look of it. KE1X I find all have the motor sitting very close to the radator I have found (my KE15 and my old KE11 did). Also the KE1X had a flat metal fan that was flat metal that was twisted at both ends don't have a photo handy on me. Prone to cracking and dangerous. I found with a plastic KE30 fan would nearly NOT fit in the KE15. A clutched fan NO WAY.even with a early K KE1X pump. But Below is a scan of a Toyota book I have for rebuilding late model KEXX pumps and that. As you see you press the front flange on. If your having issues with your fan belt going straight need more room just try pressing your flange on the front of the pump on more. Also Why run a fan from the back I run a HUGE thermo on the front of my KE15 and seems ok. Also look in my KE15 thread page 1 or 2 a good thin fan that Redwarf uses on his rally car is listed. Try sourcing one of them as I can't for the life of me remember it atm. But below is the scan: Cheers Cameron
  23. Wont go indepth here is a suspension thread. BUT I run a lightened flywheel in a daily car (stock NOS 3K only got 4000KM on it now..LOL) and one of the best things I have ever done cheap made high way cursing better SLIGHT fuel economy improve through city. Cheers Cameron
  24. Twin squish head off a 4K-E with 4a pistons and rods. Could also run 4agze pistons and a bit of boost. If you don't deck the block as Love KE70 said good low CR for boost but shit CC design. Also 2 types of after market "dished" pistons exist for a 5K shallow and deep. Cheers Cameron
  25. Raven Twin carbie manifold were on KE1X to KE5X. KE15/17 ones how ever slightly different to all other twin carbie setups. You can tell if you have a KE1X or other twin setup by the shape of the ports adn shape of the triangle that bolts it to the exhaust manifold. And opn port shape 2 types. Port shape size of the big port head also can get twin carbie manifolds with smaller ports that were on later model K motors. I got a set off a KE50 air cleaner to manifolds and it is a small port manifold bolts right up to a K motor no porting out needed to match. Also the exhaust manifolds to suit these bad boys are harder top find btw... I have 3 sets picked up at varing prices off different models different prices so depends what you want condition etc.
