A Bosch 040. It will sit in its own well in the bottom of the tank. Should only be a problem with very low fuel levels.

Cheers Clapped out. Glad your enjoying it. Mold is made for the bumpers and drivers door is finished. Thanks to Stuart "Toms Dad" for the door handle.

I havent been saving them but hopefully it will weigh in at 900kgs or less. Ill put it on the scales when the engine is fitted and see how it going.

Engine parts still not done, grrrr. Anyway, A bit of lightening on the front end and finished off the nav's door.

Thanks Stuart, Still waiting to hear back from this local guy. Ill be in touch soon if he can't help. Front guards painted, fitted and finished. Still waiting for the rods to be finished at PLR Chris.

Thanks guys. Iam just starting to see a dim glow at the end of the tunnel. Stuart. Ive got a local guy here looking through his ke30 parts this week end. If theres no luck with him, Ill be in contact with you. Are the spare doors you have ke30? The drain plug in the front is just for clearance. Its only 20mm but it makes some difference when the motor is as low as poss and the sump guard is as high poss. If the guard should flex up with a hit, Its two flat surfaces touching instead of a single plug point which may cause problems. Rally is 90% getting your car to the finish and 10% speed. To finish 1st ect. Test fitting and trimming the front guards before paint.

Thanks cusso. The photos are latches off a Celica but you can see what Iam after. Also need the connecting rods for them as well. PM me if you can help and we will sort out the details.

Thanks again Stuart for your always kind and surportive comments. I seem to remember it was you who found this shell for me at a wrecker which makes this whole build your fault,LOL. But I might be wrong. Congrates again on your COTY award. Still after a few parts if someone has some spares to sell. Need both headlight buckets with adjusting screws and retaining springs. Also both inner door opening latches with connecting rods.

Checking the new sump for leaks and finished fitting out the baffling. Though I had It sealed first, but found 3 small pin holes that needed a touch up.

Cheers Justin. It should seal once it gets oil won't it? lol Old sump cut off and new plate ready to be folded and welded.

Already been through a set and a half of holes saws on this car. I guess it cheaper than asking Toyota for an all alloy WRC rally door to fit a KE30 LOL. Rally Cams from LC Engineering have arrived and also started the mock up of the new race sump.

Awsome, Alpine is added to the bucket list. They need a few more Toyotas.

Sealed up the hole in trans tunnel. Teddy might recognise the gear knob I borrowed from his KE70 during a rally many years ago.

Thats a great looking car. Even if I do say myself. It was amazing to meet George Donaldson at that event. He worked on these Group B Celicas in the 80s and became TTE manager during the GT4s days in the early 90s.

Its got a few ugly spots. Not saying where though. After its first rally it will be just another rally car with a few stone chips and scratches. Bell housing on and gearbox fitted.
