Thanks all for your kind support. Gary, the lower ball joint is the long vn/vp commodore joint fitted to a celica lca. Fitting up the front spoiler before paint.
-
Intake manifold fitted. Ive looked at a lot of air filter and air box set ups and none will fit in the space thats left in the engine bay. So its back to the good old filter socks. ugh. Should make a nice noise in the forest.

Ill be using the plastic one from a RA60 Celica. Still have a couple of spares. Making an inlet manifold to suit the quad throttle bodies.

Hi Si. Yep it will have a front valance under the bumper. Hope to get on to that this weekend.
-
Thanks Stephen and Stuart. Not much photo worthy stuff happening at the moment. Got the clutch hooked up and working and some more wiring done. Started making the inlet manifold. Ill get some more photos up soon.

Performance seat cuts. Interesting and clever stuff on how to get more power from your fire breathing race motor and still have it idle like your road car. Ill let Chris explain if he wants to share. Boot retainers fitted.

They did an awesome job on the head Keith. Fellow call Brad at Express Engineering here in Toowoomba. Could'nt afford to get the performance seat cut Chris, had to settle for the standard 3 angle for now. I have got the reversion edges on the manifolds though. If the head has to come apart again at any time, Ill get it done then. There is a few tricks in this motor, so we,ll see how to goes. Which is your hero car littleredspirit? The TA64 or Tony's KE70 Head on and cams all dialed in.

Wow, I don't think they looked that good when it was new. Looks great and final assembly is always the best part.

Cheers Simon. The first event will be a shake down at a place called Hirstglen about 40min from Toowoomba. Then the first proper rally maybe Boarder Ranges if all goes well. Holes in fan blades, now theres a thought. ;) Got a coat of black on the bumpers.

Fitted the thermo fan. can't remember where I got it or what its off. Years ago we used those crappy multi blade fans from Repsons and every time we had a hard landing the blades would break off. Just not enough space in there for standard Commodore fan.

Hey Stuart, thanks again. Hoping to have it done in a month or so. You know how these things go. Even when its finished, then comes the paper work and dyno tuning and then a few small events to iron out the bugs and get the car and myself up to speed again. Plan is a full 2015 2wd rally master series. There are 2 events near the Vic boarder.Johns River and Mini Dula I think but they change from year to year. The first Rallymaster event we did was in Victoria near Daysbrough called the Seemore Stages. They might include it again. The forestry roads there were the best Ive ever driven. Boot and rear bumper in primer.

Thanks Justin. We will get there in the end. Took a photo of the scales. Havent corner weighted it yet. I should be able to shift some of the 250kgs on the right front to the rear and improve the front/rear balance.

Thanks Snot. Nicely but seems very slowly. It seems the more I get done the bigger the list of things to do becomes. "Sounds like somethink YODA would say" Front bumper fitted and ready for paint.
