    Me Ke20

car looks good man, although I just can't stand the miss-matched front end :bash:
  2. You can't compare r100s or rx2s rx3s rx4s to early corollas. For example Mazda only made 90,000 r100s worldwide compared to approx 500,000 KE1#'s worldwide Toyota made shitloads of KE1# KE2# and don't get started on KE3#s. You couldnt even compare the corollas to the piston powered Mazda's such as the 1200, 1300, 808 929 etc, Toyota was much more experienced in building cars by the late 60s early 70s then Mazda, as Toyota has a longer history then Mazda at building cars, hence the build quality in my eyes was better by Toyota. Corollas don't fetch much (here anyway, japan another story as they got the TE models) because we got the base grade models, same as the Mazda's, but the rotary is what made the Mazda's popular and now valuable.
  3. who can tell me where this car ended up. I know but I'm not telling :P  :no2:

Spotted a unmolested ORIGINAL 74' KE25 this afternoon in western suburbs. Driven by an older guy, looked in his 30s... did a u bolt as quick as I could but missed him and couldn't work out which direction he went. Hubcaps and all, canary yellow in colour, never seen the car before, if I see it again I'm buying it lol
  5. personally I don't like those stockies 12" stockies and KE25 hubs would look sweet, or 13" Mazda stockies and Mazda hubbies, or 14" Celica stockies with crown hubbies
  6. meh all good they made 350+ thousand of them lmao
  7. yea the guy wanted 300 bucks for the whole car if i remember correctly, wanted to buy it but never got around to organizing it... damn shame...
  8. ill take the grill and front end if its still in good condition?
  9. poor ke25 :(

spotted about in the ke25 on west tce, was in the blue mazda
  13. thats not good to hear man, not the only ke25 to get defected in Adelaide lol, is it regency or cop shop? my brown ke25 is on par with yours condition wise, and no way will it get through regency how it is at the moment
  14. Yea was going to say RCA's are a must with the AE86 struts, my LCA's are sit almost flat which is not good. Not sure what size I will go but would like to push them down back to stock position just to be safe...
  15. I recall s14 ones may fit with 1 strut hole filled out a bit... but not 100% sure...
  16. haven't got coilovers yet, but there is very little room with stock AE86 struts in it. Apparently gives 1 degree positive camber which I noticed...
  17. as Parrot said, stick with AE86 stuff man, so much easier, less hassle that way... Although I have pics on my other computer of TE27's in japan with bolt in Nissan front brake/suspension setup. Looked like a Silvia setup, will post pics when I get time. I'm not to sure about length and suitability of the other Toyota struts that share the same steering knuckle as the ae86 struts. The E7 guys on ae86dc know there stuff about struts that go into E7's, basically anything that will bolt into a KE70/AE71/AE86, will bolt in to a KE2# with the right combination of parts, that doesn't mean you wont run into issues though.... AE86 struts are pretty close to what TE27's came out with factory so yea stick with AE86 struts like I did...

    A Favour

actually I think you shouldn't use a rattle gun, rattle gun should only be used on wheel nuts in my opinion... everything else, torque wrench and the normal socket rachet wrench

    A Favour

the way I did it was use some thick cloth and a pair of multi grips, left no mark on the shock at all...
  20. simmons come in 4x110 so will fit stock ke25 stud pattern. can also get 4x114.3 simmons
  21. Hwy Mick Thats exactly what I was looking for appreciate it heaps! To be honest I am leaning towards the 20V yea. Most likely stay N/A, but Ive heard 20v's are actually the better 4age to turbo is that true? Yea the mounts I have are for a 16v in a ke2# but were used to fit a 20v In a KE3# so until I drop it in I wont know how it fits. Either way ill have to figure out what ill do with the dizzy first up lol, being at the back and all Also the hump in the firewall doesn't make it easier lol, not keen on cutting it out though hmmm...
  22. Need some advice guys which direction should I go, 16v or 20v 4age? I know the basic differences of each of the 4ages but just don't know which route to head first. Mainly just want to know if I should stick a 16v in it or go the extra mile and just go 20v as that is what everyone upgrades to... Also would like to know from people with 4age KE2# backgrounds in regards to fitting etc etc I have read a few threads on here and on the internet and it looks pretty straight forward, already got my custom engine mounts which use ae86 rubber mounts but seen others use rx7 s2 mounts and others to lower the engine so might do some experimenting... I can get a 16v relatively cheap or a complete blacktop 20v for just over a grand, I guess its a matter of cost but either way it will cost money so not fussed really... here are some pics of 4age's in ke2#'s: (note some not 4age's but still worthy to be shown)
  23. drivetrain is for sale: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/53755-fs-4k-5speed-extractors-elec-dizzy-crane-cams-fireball-xr700/ going either 16v or 20v 4age not sure yet
  24. pretty sure some KE25/TE27 seals are still available from Toyota Japan...
