  1. there is an AE86DC meet tonight: http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/71974-JULY-Friday-13th-Meet-Kensington-Rd-Shopping-Centre hopefully doesn't rain :S
  2. that was a professionally done matt black paint job, far from a spray can job!
  3. yes the car is now a drag car all done black with a 4g63 motor, was for sale on ebay for $20K no running gear
  4. id keep it original
  5. Not in Aus but they did in some other export markets from my knowledge...
  6. if you upgrade to any other strut you cannot keep the 4x110 stud pattern... its stick with what you got or go 4x114.3
  7. not sure where I seen the add but think it was on an importers website, and it had Aus number plates so was landed
  8. no we did not, no TE series corollas except the T-18 TE72
  9. they are not ke20s they are ke25s
  10. there is a brown TE27 Levin in Melb or Syd, recently imported from Japan, was for sale for like 20-25K
  11. worth nothing, early ke20s arnt popular at all, some like, most don't

    Spotted

frank has since sold it, have sold some parts to the new owner, hes from south america from all places, I think his wife drives it
  13. no wont fit
  14. the door trim is clipped on, need to be very careful removing these, you can get special tools for doing it or get a flat head screwdriver or similar tool with some cloth taped to the end to not damage anything to pry it off the door
  15. AE86 shocks fit, large range to choose from, I think you'll need short stroke shocks but not 100% sure but understand thats leafs springs for ya ;)
  16. Id give him $100 for it. Someone try and get it for cheap, wreck it and send it to the metal yard where it belongs
  17. however Ae86 struts are closest to TE27 struts so much better becasue keeps factory geometry as close as possible...
  18. well stock KE25s are 12" 4x110, but if you go AE86 struts, they are 4x114.3 stud pattern, so yes will need to change to bigger rims
  19. AE86 front struts will give you not only crazy amounts of options for brakes, but also will give you bigger shocks and ability to run coilovers :)
  20. no they only had two types, akebono (KE20 / auto KE25) and sumitomo (KE25 only)
  21. Cool car man, swap over the aircleaner setup onto this one? Yea JDM TE37s are actually very Rare, makes TE27s look like dime a dozen. and TE37s never came out with flares so has much cleaner lines Love the wheels also!
  22. I wouldnt waste my time, 99% they will send you KE20 ones. Save yourself the hassle and change the brake setup, ke25 stock brakes are totally crap and its not worth the time, money and effort See the thing is auto KE25s had akebono KE20 brake setup but manuals had sumitomo and the calipers, discs and backing plates are different... PBR are also NLA in regards to KE25 sumitomo brake parts, only list KE30 stuff as available...
  23. nah they wont rub I'm pretty sure
  24. Most likely you have bought Ke20 discs for Akebono calipers - KE25s have sumitomo calipers and you can't get discs for them anymore but early KE30 discs apparently fit and still available but not 100% sure blocks in the rear is just going to ruin the car, be horrible to drive
  25. Need a set of KE20 front springs in SA!
