yep know what ya mean but I don't wanna have to build an engine.
Yes I totally agree, I spent a few dollars on some cool parts which could have waited till I got the engine sorted.
But I guess thats just how things panned out.
Ok yep I understand your reasoning. Firstly, I did a commpression test on the first engine and it was piss weak, pulled of the head and it was rooted. I didnt just say ohh its stuffed, lets get a new one. I tried to fix each problem the best I could using my available time, money skills and resources.
Secondly, I don't wanna build a engine for this car, never do I ever wanna build an engine. I never intended that id have to. I was just looking for a straight bolt in engine that was running good enough to chuck in and drive it. People do it all the time so I figured id do the same. Ive just had a run of bad luck me thinks.
Yes the engine might be fine, it might only be something minor, but the mere fact (and I said this before) that I will have to spend more to get this thing going bothers me. It all comes down to the money issue.
I am moving on, I'm selling up going to buy something thats already done and ill add my personal touch to it.
And I bought this as my first car, so when I found out the engine was stuffed I went and bought a KE70 and this turned into my project car. People sell project cars all the time. Why? Money/commitments/all sorts of reasons.
And yes I probebly will regret selling it but at the end of the day its just a car that is not going to go anywhere soon in my hands.
Lastly id rather someone restore this thing to its former glory while parts are still available rather then me just thrash the shit out of it lol. Who knows how hard it will be to find good parts for these things in the future, apparently it is getting harder already.
Cheers
