  7. steering knuckles will sit on KE3# balljoint, don't see why you would need ae86 tie rod ends, just use KE3# items

  9. No this is a different car
  10. Checked this out today, took a few bits, wss really after front guards and apron but they are all welded together like what the hell. They were aftermarket guards so who cares but I needed the apron, however was pretty stuffed. Its pretty much dead, shame, another 25 bites the dust.
  11. Ok so things are starting to move bit further. Picked up my motor today from the engine shop. Acid dipped block Fully balanced Bored 50thou and honed Nothing special just good modest street motor Head has been recond New flat top pistons (funny tekin brand) on standard rods Full engine kit so all there... What I need to do is clean the water and oil gallery's with high pressure washer and clean the bores etc Then do all the clearances and put it together... bit of work to go... Need to get an engine stand...
  12. jdm KE20/25 ADM market ones are same just not painted...
  13. id imagine would make the ride a lot harsher, and thats its just like any other bush, just upgrade to polyutherane ones for extra stiffness.
  14. i don't think you can as I'm pretty sure 5th gear is located in the extension housing.... Correct. the k50 has an extra lump on the bottom at the front to house 5th.
  15. Thanks guys, yea ive had 3 this color lol
  16. when I get time ill upload some pics of the blocks the japs use, pretty sure if youve got a late model ke55/ke70 block u should be ok or any block none the less as long its in good condition...
  17. Thought id put a build thread up of my KE25. Has been a country SA car most of its life, I'm the 4th owner, mother passed it to her daughter, friend bought it from her and kept it garaged for few years and i bought it from him. Came with a glove box full of receipts and stuff going back to 1974! Nothing special at the moment. KE55 4K, KE55 5speed 5k Electronic dizzy TRUST Air filter Sports Radiator cap Flipped leaf springs with TRD Blue short stroke 8-way adjustable shocks Redrilled rear stock axles to 4x114.3 KE30 front brakes 1 coil cut front springs 14x6.5 Watanabes on rear 185/60 RE001s 14x6 BR watanabe copies on front with 3mm spaces 175/60 Yokohama Advan somethings (def from japan as can't get here) New carpet Nardi 330mm steering wheel on HKB boss kit TE27 Centre console TE27 Tacho guage cluster Have picked up a KE55 4K and currently at the machine shop getting cleaned up and built as current motor is down on compression, uses oil, has rough idle and is bit smokey. Plans: Stockish rebuild on this motor 5k Electronic dizzy Rebuilt twin solex carbs Custom extractors and exhaust system Ae86 coilovers 15mm or so lowering blocks in rear so can go lower (need to roll guards first) Future Plans: 4AGE, maybe carbed undecided yet T50 Shortened AE86 Tseries diff TRD wing and front spiler/lip Full respray in greenish colour Also heres the current status of my brown KE25, serving as full time parts storage: and my white KE25 got stripped and sold to a guy from NZ who lives in WA and works in the mines, apparently gonna fit a 13BT to it.

  19. yea ur right parrot, looks awesome though...
  20. yes KE20 sprinter, also KE25, TE25 and TE27 Sprinter TE27 one is bit different
  21. Should be sweet!
  22. I had 195/55/15s and it was really bad for street, too wide and big a wheel, now I'm running 185/60/R14x6.5 +10 offset and its perfect, fits just inside the guard with minimal guard roll and just tucks tire Keep in mind I'm using stock KE25 axles redrilled 4x114.3 as I did try the KE30 axles but they added 10mm track each side so made turning and taking off bit worse. Ride is real good, just got the shocks on 1 for around town, and bump it up to 4 for runs, flipping leaves does make it a bit stiffer but barely noticeable... ideally a 175/60/14X6.5 would be ok too.. well u pretty much don't have any option for camber adjustment in the back of any RWD corolla let alone a Leaf spring KE25...
  23. looks good man, just an idea for the rear i flipped second bottom leaf and put it on top and run TRD blue 8 ways. Real good setup, dunno why so much hate on leaf springs...
  24. friday night meet up pm for details
