Yo, I bought new struts for the car a while ago, and they`r supposed to be from a AE86... But now I'm wondering if they really are... How can I tell the difference? Thanks....

Hi, I'm slowly getting ready for paint, just some welding and minor things to do..... The flares are ment to be on a AE86 i think, need some adjustment to fit but... Will post pictures as soon as things are ready for paint...

I should think so:-) The only thing I worry about is if its possible to lover it that much.....

Will need to lover it a bit thoug:-) the ca rests on the rear axel, so it won't be any lover when on its wheels I guess...:-(( so seems like I need to slam it down 7cm.... Can i lover it that much??

This is with 9" wheels... ET -15.... Think I need ET 10 or 15.... The front look alright...

Some pics of the new flares.... My innlet manifold is on its way to, so hopefully i can start to plan the engine transplant soon.... Only some small things left before paint, will have to wait until start of next year to get it painted though... Wifey not to keen on me being in the garage all the time now so.....

Got some more stuff done this weekend, not to much but..... I also got some stuff in the mail..... New bellhousing, T9 to Zetec.... T9 gearbox..... AE86 front struts.... Hopefully I will get some more things done this week..... Anyone bought windscreen seals front and rear from Ebay? Mine is so hard, that the only way I can get them out of the car I think is to cut them....

Tell me about it...:-)) the car was amazing...everything on that car was 110% all the time.... Insane car:-) The heads are really good, so I can't hardly wait to get it set up and dynoed.....:-))

Thank you:-) I hope that it will be a fun ride:-) I've got some friends with very good knowledge on ford engines, one of them is the previous owner of an infamous blue wrc escort...;-) and he recon that with the setup I will run I should we 150+rwhp.... And that's before I change the cams....:-)) So hopefully it will be a sweet ride with a little umph...:-)) Again, thanks for all the kind words and interest:-))

Thanks Stu, Yeah, I recon its in pretty good shape considering the roads and weather we have here in Norway.... The car have lived its life in the country side where they don't put salt on the roads:-) So that is a bit of luck....

Well.... Did get something done tonight, welded the wheel arches so they fit better to the flairs... And since I'm a bit of a friend with Murphy... I managed to make a big dent in the left rear fender:-((( so I had to fix that as to:-(( Things are coming along nicely, and as I said, ready for paint in a month or so.... And then I need to get it approved for two more years.... Then I can start with the engine and drivetrain... Phu.... I don't think I have time to work...:-))

Hi, The one I'm putting in is called 1030 Dana axel, that's not the best, but its easy to get hold of... The one who is best is the one called 1031 Dana. You can find it in some volvo 240/740/960.... But there is no way to tell other than checking the plate on the diff house.... The width of the axel should be the same.... I've got a couple of months worth of work ahead before its finished......:-((((( I'm on a budget.... I had an insane drifting car that costed me a looooooooot of money, so wifey is a bit strict.... Plus, everything is really expensive here in Norway....:-(( But I aim to have it done before the summer:-)

Got my carbs today :wootjump: Just need some cleaning and I think I would like to get them spaced out a bit... It will be easier to make an intake manifold when they have the correct distance.....

Yes, I will strip the leaf springs so its only one left, and then reinforce the front and rear mounts. Then I wil fit a "tractionrod" or "panhardrod" as it also is called i belive.... Voila, two link:-) And since I'm using a Volvo rear axel, there is diff covers for sale with the watt link mounts allready in place, so that shouldnt be to hard...

That did look good:-) Maybe ill try and do some thing like that:-) I'm goin two link and watlink in the rear... Should work just fine i guess... This is what i have done so far... Getting my carbs today, so now its soon paint, and then I can start working out the engine swap.... Hopefully it will be done due june....

Hi, I bought ae86 front struts, and will turn them into coilovers, and use the original front struts in the rear, so I get coilovers there to. I really look forward to when the engine is ready to fire...:-)) The front bumper is really bad:-( so don't know what to do with it yet... Probably try to fix it some how...
