i vote november 4th? saturday night, meet maybe around city or kurrulta park carpark on anzac highway? i don't know where everyone is situated so anywhere central. this sat 28th's my 17th so i wil be out on that one

what if you weren't allowed to get your pilots licence because you were wearing the wrong shoes on the day of your assessment? and you failed, all the hard work you put in for learning for this, all the money you spent on trying to achieve this was mauled because you were wearing the wrong type of shoes? (hypothetically) wouldnt this cause you to be the slightest bit mad? if you were not informed of this beforehand and apparantly it is a law. anywhoo i am going for my test again tomorrow, so hopefully i will pass. good luck with your pilots licence.

lol i know i might be making a big deal out of it, but i was just extreemly pissed off, because it was extreemly inconvenient that he failed me, which i thought that there was a possibility that i would fail, but more to the point is that i failed because of some stupid reason. *edit* if that actually makes any sence *edit*

i have been ringing around and also rang up a few of my old driving instructors that i had in the past and told them my situation, so the word has obviosly gotten around to my driving instructor where he posted out a letter informing me in detail of my mistakes, for legal purposes i suppose if i were to take it further. anywhoo, i thought you guys might be interested in what he had to say: i am only cutting out the bit from the 2nd assessment, as the 1st doesnt matter. here goes: "Second Assessment Road law fault recorded Traveling straight along a 50 zone road app 45 to 47 km/h white vehicle from behind was obstructed by you for some time, starting to get to the tailgate situation, and you did not want to exceed the ltd, you were aware the car was there but no response from you I understand that you are mindful of your speed, which is good, what other choises could you have used (1) safer for you and your defencive thinking ,, It was a wide road with a marked parking bays to the left of you. holy cow. i didnt think this many people would reply. thanks for all your comments, i have taken out some good points to build a case up. i have rang up consumer affairs who were pissed off too and told me to write a letter to the instructor to tell me what i have done wrong, and also demand a reply within 7 days otherwise consumer affairs will take over. Un-satisfied, i rang up transport SA offices who were also angry with my predicament who transferred me to the department where you can report driving insturctors or something. anwhoo, everyone went home before i got through so no-body to talk to. yeah iam aware that i had to 25 in the zone, but instructor told me not go the speed until the sign post, which was about 200 metres up the road when i was first tailgated. I rang my old insturctor and he told me that no-bodyshould speed up if they are being tailgated as it increases stopping distance. its within 5 k's of the speed limit that i should have been going. My insturctor has been good to me so far, but i don't know, should i cop it on the chin or take it further. i guess he is my instructor and he might have not felt that i should be getting my peez was a good idea, but he still should have told me rather than failing me on something stupid like that. argh i don't know. take it further or just book another lesson?

ok, here is the story, i was going for my final assessment drive for my learners, i was going down a quiet-ish street sitting at a comfortable 48km/h in a 50km/h zone, and this commonwhore started to speed up behind me and was tailgating me, -unintimidated by the driver behind i continued down the road then adjusted my speed to 25 as i was approaching a school zone, the driver turned off. Towards the end of the lesson , i was thinking i did good when he asked me how i though i went, but he explained that i broke the law by holding up traffic, "i was going too slow". Infuriated i rebuted his opinion but he stood strong telling me that i should have sped up to eliminate the threat or proximity of the driver behind. confused i asked him if that would be breaking the law more-so because i would be exeeding the limit?.. he did not have an anwer. anway $100 dollars down for me, and $100 up i think he is just greedy for green. i am extreemely pissed off by this and this has pissed off all my friends and family. i am thinking of reporting him tomorrow. what are your views on this? was he in the right to fail me (this was the only "law" i 'broke') or was i in the right to dispute it? thanks alot, Chet

i have only got a few boxes at the moment, keep forgetting to load them into trunk after work. i have made 2 numberplates with black electrical tape border, which looks pretty sweet, as for the bodykit i have only done one sideskirt so far, as the other box didnt match the one i cut up. i will post some pics as soon as it starts to come together, i have to oganise my mates to come round to help. any ideas for custom number plate phrases/words?

In terms of bodykits for that type of car, it would be best to have it custom made, you could cut the money down by making you own. there is a good site to follow some basic guidelines that could help you along the way. http://filer.case.edu/~jsh28/drew/bodykit.html glad i could be of some help :y:

haha some nice ideas. i do have lots and lots of badges from when i worked at a panelbeater shop, so i could stick some. Haha the TV idea is gold, i will use that, thanks mate. where could i get my hands on some "fragile" tape? I'm thinking i will run fairy lights under the bodykit. Keep the ideas flowing in, i am writing them all down and will post some pics up. Oh and one last thing, i have made some cardboard numberplates to slot over my other ones, but what kind of personalised plate should i use? thanks again, chet

haha some sweet ideas guys, thanks. for the lowering i was going to just get everyone to stand in the boot but the jacking up and then taking them out sounds better. I was thinking of making spinners, full alfoil and shit, but have to figure out a way to. i was going to get some old pvc piping and spray paint it black for the exhaust, have 4 exhaust tips. i have got heaps of cardboard from work, so I'm all set with cardboard. keep the ideas rolling in, i will post some pics up next week once ive filmed it. cheers, chet

hmm fair enough, but is the paint brittle on what ever you are using the tape on? because mine comes off with my finger

hey all, i am making a full bodyit for my 79 rolla, all out of cardboard ( don't worry, i do have other things to do in my spare time but i am making a movie of it for a school project, a take off of pimp my ride) anywhoo, i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas of what i should do to make it look dodgy-good, if you know what i mean. so far i have an idea for my hood, where i will put a large black garbage bag over it to make it looks like i have a matt black / carbon bonnet. other ideas are numerous glowsticks under car for neons. any other wacky suggestions? help would be appreciated. thanks, chet

last sunday i saw a white rolla with blue stripes going down marion road, near anzac highway, car was of racing appearance, shit i can't really remember what model i was on the phone and saw it in a glimpse, wasnt concentrating and was dazed because it looked so good. is it on the forum or anyone know about it? wouldnt mind some pics.

well when i bought mine it had only done about 57k clicks, its now about 59,000 but its running great. so it should last a while juding by everyone elses comments. ;)
