  1. What king springs? link them so we know what you are talking about. If you are talking about front suspension, techno toy tuning has great stuff. Or you can piece it together yourself like I do.
  2. OH hey! Love the engine / trans combo for the car. I have a TE38 wagon with a VERY worn engine. I was looking at doing this same swap. I am considering the buick 3800 supercharged engine though. Did you have any hang ups when installing? how was it to fit the manual? I hope this is a simple swap. we also need pics of this thing tearing through a turn.
  3. Nice car. The TE31 is an awesome model. Check my build logs from my 76. I did a bunch of stuff to that car. It had the same wheels too. I also have a TE38 wagon that I just got. I am in California too.
  4. I am considering this as these engines are abundant here. I can get the NA and supercharged ones from junk yards. Problem I have is that they are all FWD. I may be able to bolt a t5 camaro trans to it, but It wont hold the HP that the Supercharged engine produces. Anyone know of any Buick, GM, or holden swapped engine builds?
  5. I have been driving this car. I took it to work and gave it a good cleaning. I also got some parts for it.
  6. Messed with it some today. I cleaned off the rest of the paint that was on the windows, Fixed the passenger brake light, fixed hatch latch so I can open it, took out carpet and rear panels to look for rust. Before: After: No rust inside wheel whells, or under carpets. The wet spot is spilled motor oil.
  7. It was on CL in LA area. This thing is rough. Interior needs all new. It runs better and better every time I drive it. More of its electrical components are coming alive too. More pics
  8. I ended up with another project car. It is a 1975 (pre-smog for CA) TE38 E5. I bought it cheap. I drive 300+ miles to see the car. The ad said "Runs Good". I got there and he said it hasn't been driven for 7 years and he had just got it started. He had owned the car for a long time. It served as a first car for all 3 of his kids. I checked it over, bought it, did some minor engine work, and drove it 324 miles home with no issues. The car drives well, but an engine rebuild is needed. It has low power due to compression. It's ugly as sin. The pictures make it look better than it actually is.
  9. This car is going to be sweet. Love the brown racing seat too.
  10. I have been looking around for these for a while. They are my favorite steel wheels. I also have the chrome caps, and the beauty rings from my wife's cars old wheel. Topcoat painted with Rustolium (or tremclad) Hammered finish.
  11. Nice score. You will love the 2tc engine. They are bullet proof and will run fantastic when tuned up. I just got my TE27 ,also a 74, running after sitting in a tow yard for 10+ years. If you need any help with the T engine let me know. Yours has AC too!

  13. This 27 has some frame rot under the battery area, but it is all original and hasn't been registered since the late 80s or early 90s. It will be better than new one day. Wheel progress. Insides and back in gloss medium grey and the front is etching primer flat greenish until I decide on a color. This is after I blasted away the rusty half: Gloss grey back color face:
  14. Nice work. The COPs look really nice. I have the same ones on my 2007 corolla S here in the states. Are you going to wrap the loom when its all finished?
  15. Well my Minilites got referbished and then my wife wanted them for her car. I have looked around to replace the wheels and I wanted to get some 13" for stock appearance. I have 2 sets of the standard looking wheels, but i want something a little different. I got these for a good price from Mr. Santos from 1stGenCelica. His shop was sweet. I proceeded to take the old tires off (one of them was tubed). I pressure washed them, then blasted 2 so far. I am undecided on color.
  16. Bought an Ebay Genuine Weber. They said it wont fit the 74, but I am determined to make it happen. I pulled this manifold off the engine because the provided adapter doesn't fit. Good thing I keep spares. This one is from a 78. There is a pesky EGR tube that will male a large vaccume leak. I know its not stock, but this is a driver, and I keep my stock parts. I cleaned the EGR port well and filled about 2" of it with RTV. It's a very tight fit. You have to remove the distributor to get this one on. Crappy low light pic of carb mostly installed. I swapped the fuel inlet to the passenger side. It fits under hood fine. Ill do linkage when I have more light. I also forgot to post my reconditioned Minilites. They were for my car, but she wanted them, so she stole them off my TE27. Looks like I will have to recondition my mesh wheels too.
  17. My wife wanted a carburetor for Christmas. (I thought it was pretty funny) She wants her car to drive as my orange one did. We got a good deal on Ebay. This time I made sure I was getting the genuine European Weber that was stamped in the alum, and not the fake one with the sticker.
  18. Nice job on the radiator. What color is the blue called. I have been considering a color like this for one of my cars.
  19. I am happy to hear this. The a40 on my last car was bullet proof. Ya, the USDM bumpers are utter crap. I have the slim one for the front. i am still looking for a rear.
  20. Does anyone know what kind of transmission this is? It says 3FC on the tag. My other car that is the same year and model has an A40 (3 speed). What is the 3FC? I can't find any info on it.
  21. I love the color you put on this car.
  22. Those are not mine. They belong to the previous owner. He used to be a Toyota guy, but converted.
  23. What? You don't like the dull look of oxidizing aluminum with yellow peeling clear coats? It will be addressed, but for now, I will focus on getting this car on the right path mechanically.
  24. I started this car for the first time I have owned it. It ran well. The electrical is shot near the battery. An old owner put the leads on the wrong sides. The PO put said leads on the wrong terminals and melted some wires. It was tricky but it started. Now I need to pull the engine and trans so i can weld the frame rails. This will be on the back burner until I can sell my 1968 Ford Torino, and get my other TE27 on the road, and reliable.
  25. New water pump, fuel pump, and intake gaskets so far. I flushed out the cooling passages with a garden hose. There was so much crap in there, I think the seller cracked an egg in the radiator so it didn't leak. The small passage coming off the water pump was fully blocked. We are doing some cleaning while we are there.
