  1. Thanks mate. VA all done. Timing is wasted.
  2. No idea why the photos flipped!
  3. 4K-C. Stock carb. I'm finally getting around to sorting out my idle and power problems. I changed my plugs and leads. No change. I went to town with carby cleaner - now my idle sits at around 3-4k. I have tried playing around with my idle mixtures and dizzy. Then I noticed that there was no Vacuum Advance coming off my dizzy. Tried to find a decent enough diagram to work with but couldn't find anything. Will reconnecting the V-Advance bring the idle speed down? Located on the Gold Coast if someone wants to come give me a hand for hugs/beers?
  4. Thanks mate! Silver corollas seem to be pretty rare! The pictures do it quite a bit of justice to be honest. In AUS a station wagon is generally a 4 door 5 seater hatch. Funny how things work differently! I think having that system is quite a bit better for the personalised plates. I would prefer it anyway, jealous. I'll take that as a compliment?
  5. That's a grouse photo.
  6. Not getting waved into the defect station at Downshift.
  7. Went to sell it - couldn't, only had the car for a little while but it's grown on me like mad. Anyway - still tidying. Recently purchased; - AE86 struts, hubs and brakes. I will be building them into coilovers. - K series extractors. I'll be getting them sand blasted so I can paint them as they are pretty gnarly looking. - Genuine 1988 Luisi steering wheel. It's in incredibly condition for it's age but I'll be giving the spokes and such a nice polish anyway. Polished and painted.
  8. Only just discovered this thread... probably my favourite so far. Love it.
  9. I think my brain might explode. Too cool.
  10. Was not expecting that ^^^
  11. Good luck mate. This thing will have such a fine line between cool as hell and gouge eyes out. Super clean regardless though.
  12. Incredibly clean. Good find.
  13. Interior now. I got my leaf springs reset and chopped the fronts. I'm just going to get some new shocks and AU springs for the front for now. Rear needs new shocks. Looks pretty cool.
  14. Haven't posted for a little while, as I'm living in Queensland now and planning to move back to Melbourne in the near future, I've decided to put all my effort into the interior. It's actually coming up awesome! I repaired and painted all my cracked and broken plastics, fixed up an old centre console with a $1 hinge from bunnings. New pair of seat covers that kinda of fit my MA seats (they are deceitfully massive seats!), gave the interior a full deep detail. Just waiting on a new gear boot coming over from the UK and I'm going to make up a nice carpet covered ply base for the flat bed. It feels really strange getting into a respectable interior! I'll bang some photos up next sunny day.
  15. Got my dash in a couple of weeks ago, everything has decided to work perfectly which is awesome. I had the thought today to simply upload a set of photos of the retired plugs, that way people can just copy the photo instead of having to decipher the guides and stuff. Started to try to track down some blanking plates, if not ill just make some up :).
  16. Guiding pin = locating pin? Just the pin that runs through the center of the leafs and axle? I'll give him a call today. Thanks.
  17. I've looked everywhere for a lowering block kit to suit my KE70 Panelvan for a temporary solution until I get my springs reset. Autobahn and Repco told me to hit the road. Cheapa Auto Spares said that they have a kit but it looks like it's for a Hilux (I imagine the early model "Lo-Lux") or something similar. I'm going to measure up my axle tube and stuff tomorrow and check it out, but I was just wondering if someone had already been through this process? Will the guiding pins and U bolts still be alright? Is there a kit not made for KE that still bolts up? Oh, and if you have a kit for KE on the gold coast, let me know. Thanks in advance.
  18. That thought actually never crossed my mind! Cheers Paul.
  19. Looks really clean! Jealous...
  20. Made up a little speaker shelf that sits on the face of the flatbed.
  21. Site is back up - interwebz won't allow me to download the file. If someone has a copy and could email it to me that would be great...
  22. New front pads and rotors went in yesterday, the car actually stops now. Had never done brakes before yesterday - incredibly simple once you get the jist of it. Also replaced the water pump (Hopefully my engine bay stops getting caked in rusty gunk). Looks like I'll be making a change of direction in my swap - looking into a 3T-C conversion.
  23. Water pump replaced and it's no longer putting water down. Thanks for the help guys.
  24. Will the diff just bolt in? I was under the impression they had different widths and mounts? My brother bought a T-18 with a spare motor and box that was pulled from another one. I'll ask him if he has a spare shaft and I'll let you know if I need your diff. Cheers.
  25. Thanks guys. New water pump purchased and ready to go on tomorrow :).
