I'm good at e-shit-stiring, lol.

He's not into fast things :y: I'm trying, he needs to come up to the paddock and drive the skyline

Constant 100-110km/h is good for 4A-C auto fuel economy. My old AE82 used to get close to 350km from a tank around town but the one time I drove it to Winton and back I got over 450km out of the tank.

Update pics, ride height is close to where I want it, front will come down with coilover upgrade. Not too much news to update, thinking of selling up my Sprinter project and buying a 240K to do C110 GTR replica project instead.

Nice tidy van, reminds me I should put update pics in my thread.

You are officially a crazy man Ben, I cannot believe it came up that tidy. Keep in mind I have original red KE slant panels at Heathcote too if you want/need.

What Would You Do Make This Car Look Sexy? ('85 Corolla)
Paul replied to levvyy's topic in Automotive Discussion
Series 1 CSX / Twincam rims, or AE93 SX rims. JDM AE86 steering wheel or twincam AE82 wheel. Damn good tyres with correct wheel alignment, service, stereo and that is all. Spend all your money on a second car (rear wheel drive corolla, forget the Mitsubishi crap). Colour coded bars would look shit, give your current bars a hit with armor-all when you put a tidy set of rims on it, and you'll see there's no need for a kit. -
They're different to ADM but I can put you on to a bloke in Malaysia that can sell you an aftermarket new pair.

Beaver panel is the removable one behind the bumper bar, below the headlights (also called a stone tray). But he meant radiator support panel as that's what the lights bolt to. You don't need to change the rad support panel to fit them I think you just need to re-drill holes. I have an early rad support here which you can take measurements from to get headlight hole positions exacto, you're welcome to pop over and do a front swap one day when you're ready once you've acquired all the parts. If you wanna buy headlights, grille and beaver panel I do have those. You'll just need to find gaurds, bonnet and scuttle panel (in front of screen, behind bonnet) eleswhere.

We got those bumpers here, on AE71 Panelvan's

Need to use AE71 or AE86 crossmember which is good too because you get the rack and pinion upgrade.
-
Cheapest option would probably be a 3T-C If you say which state you are in someone might see it and be able to help you... although a wtb thread in the classifieds section would have been more appropriate.

Shocks have probably had it, if you haven't replaced them yet probably worth getting new ones anyway. Got someone near you with a KE70? Borrow their shocks too see if that's it, they're easy as to change.

If you're at all handy with a welder, Get yourself a pair of seats from a Honda Prelude, cut all the mounting points off and put them in the correct positions for the Corolla floor. It takes quite a few hours of stuffing around, ie: measuring to get it right and cutting angle steel and steel blocks to get it all level and in place but it's worth it in the end. Probably one of the best things I've done in my pano, held me in grouse around the black spur windy roads last weekend on our spirited drive. Only thing is I'm 6ft tall so it did not solve the original issue of height (my head is too close to the roof), so I will be doing it all again soon using the R32 seats I've got under the house.

Whats A Good Number Plate For A Chicks Ke70
Paul replied to Rolla_Baby's topic in Automotive Discussion
I like the suggestion of "070-GRL" most so far. If it works the same in QLD as it does down here in Vic that would be my choice as it's what we call previous general issue and should only cost around the $200ish mark, nice simple plate too without attracting the wrong attention. -
Is it too late to add cars to the poll? "The overrated KE70" White grandpa spec sedan would have to be worthy no?

Been a long time since an update here, but the car is now running a 4A-C, so all the hard work is done already for the up-coming engine conversion. I've got a complete running smallport 4A-GE which I will be re-building as a 4A-GTE, already bought rods, new GZE low comp 20 thou OS pistons, Haltech E8 ECU, T3 alloy pulleys for alternator, crank and waterpump, T3 adjustable cam gears, T3 ITB adaptor, ITB's from 20V, clear cam gear cover and I think that's it so far but there's more shit that I will continue to buy over the next few months before stripping the motor down and getting stuck right into it. Also customised the original rails of some prelude seats and had them in for a while now, work great around corners at holding me in, but although as comfy as they are they're a bit too high (or i'm too tall for the car whichever way you want to look at it). Next attempt will be the R32 seats under the house as I think I can get them down lower. No real point adding recent pics as the existing ones are the same as how it looks now.

lol, update? I haven't even stripped the T-18 yet. And ethan's bigport KE got stolen, written off and we're stripping that at my joint while the carport is clear as the 4A-C (temporary motor) conversion is just finished this week. Basically I'll show you a list of where this car sits at the moment. Strip Ethan's KE70 Strip T-18 Fit above 3T into Alanna's bro's TA23 Rack and pinion conversion in cousins TA22 track car, then once proven on track do it again for the 3TGTE street car Build the 4AGTE for the pano Maybe start the Sprinter once all that's done, but by that time I'll probably want to build a shed first as I'm already sick of only having a carport, rotisserie + carport = fail I keep the sprinter running by staring it and letting it run for 10 mins every couple weekends, but other than that it's untouched.

The "bowler-would-have-started-this-thread-if-i-didn't-alread
Paul replied to soyboy's topic in VIC / Melbourne
Woo hoo drove the pano for the first time in three months last night, just gotta get points, rear wheel linings, rear wheel cylinders and longer exhuast rubbers today, re-assemble the remaining interior bits then it should be all sweet for tomorrow. Dave, are you bringing the 27? -
This is THE ONLY way to do a 4 to 2 door conversion on an ADM E7 sedan. This is the whole reason I bought my van but my bro talked me out of cutting it up, lol. Top work, I'll be keeping my eye on this.

Make sure you don't buy another faulty one. The weakest point in these combo's is near the base of the indicator stalk. The wires get bent in that place a lot so they wear through and short out. When I had this happen in my AE71 a few years back I just replaced the three wires inside the stalk. Good for another 20 years that way :D

My mate did a 4A-GE conversion in his KE70 and he used a T-50 but he's got my old K50 speedo cable on it and it's out according to his GPS. It may sound really odd but there may be a difference between cables???
-
Smallport 4A-GE with T-50, TODA light flywheel, TRD pressure plate, exedy clutch and 4-2-1 extractors with 2" stainless exhaust. Done my pedal assembly, fuel system (surge tank, lift pump and high flow pump), had to drill out the old spot welds for the trumpet that holds the clutch cable and welded the holes back up and got a colour match etc.. so it's all getting done properly. I'm glad I decided to plan to run my car dry to co-incide with the 4K removal night. No fuel = no fuss.
