I have tried paint stripper on my old celica rims a few years ago, don't bother. I resorted to sanding.

I've already raided the one at campbellfield pick-a-part for it's front end too.

AE71, was auto. Converting to manual, I have square chrome bars for it just on the hunt for endcaps and brackets. T series diff is in too with pedders springs in rear, gotta put front springs in still and MA's on front also. Will do a few more things like stereo etc..

This is now on Carsales. Fixed the last door window this week and got my door trims back on. Selling this car this week for not much money as I found an AE71 and bought it. Picked it up tonight, it's win. AE82 = fail. I remember why I said never again after I sold the last one.

Go into autobarn with your paint code or paint name and they should have touch up pressure pack cans on shelf. In my case I bought Centre red for my AE82 and yeah it was around the $20 mark. Good match too.

Plans are to go with the Series 2 T-18 front, with Series 1 bars (stripped, smoothed and painted gunmetal) front and rear. I have all the panels I need. Also finished piecing together the remainder of interior that I bought from you. Big thanks to Dave (TE278U) for helping me with the remaining parts, from him I bought a black dash shell along with pillar trims, kick panels, seat belts etc... Payed a "fair" price for this then it cost more to get here from Perth as I found it on carsales over there and had it sent via autotrans. Had more rust than I was expecting but everything is repairable. I'll have to talk to you about the uri I guess, I was planning to go with the rubber for originality but I'll decide that when the time comes. Still not starting this project until I build a shed.

Early AE82 (the nicer looking front) has short parkers, late AE82 has long parkers (more similar to AE86 shape). Gaurds are different, late model front is fail, especially the grille that's the ugliest part.

Can you remember if it was an early one with short parkers?

Anyone been to Centre Rd wreckers lately? I'm after a red AE82 gaurd...

And why would you ever want to sell it? Could never sell mine I don't think, I've come close for lots of money a couple times but I know it would be too hard to replace with one in equal condition.

Gearbox should be fine I would think. If not I'll swap you a good T-50 for the interior doors and boot :lol:.

I've broke down twice in my van the last 2 mornings due to what I think is an auto choke issue. My solution to the problem will be removing the 4A-C and fitting a smallport. I reccommend you do the same :lol:
