  1. The daily Club rego'd cruiser Track car in the build
  2. Still got this, and dailying it. Just installed a set of Shockworks Coilovers (I was lucky enough to have them split up an ae86 kit because they had another customer wanting just rear springs and adjuster seats.) I had them built on XT130 stub axles so I'm running bigger front wheel bearings than original. I've used the corona struts and hubs together with RA60/MA61 slotted/vented rotors and MX62 Cressida calipers. I also bought a weld on LCA kit from T3 so I'm running adjustable lower arms now too. Front is fully re-bushed, new rack ends and tie rods. Handles and stops AMAZING! Chris and Brett at Shockworks will take it for a drive and see if it can be tuned further as its the first KE70 van they have done dampers for and the valve code was an educated guess. Since last update I have also further tinkered with the stereo, running an extra 2 channel amp behind the drivers seat belt and there's 2 8 inch subs where the 6x9's were. I put some 6 inch splits in the side panels in the rear along with 4 inch splits in the front all running off the existing 4 channel. Clarion Bluetooth head unit with 3 RCA out and USB etc.
  3. Haha, cheers guys.
  4. I love how you use the AE82 as a ute.
  5. Front shot of the new love
  6. Bought this TE71 GT about a year ago and just recently got it club registered. This has removed pretty much most of my desire to build up this blue AE70 Sprinter (got plans to renovate home and still need to finish building my SR20 AE71) so expect to see a for sale advert up in the classifieds some time in the new year, unless somebody PM's me and organizes a purchase of this car before it's listed for the masses on all forums / carsales / ebay etc...
  7. Very cool, congrats on the rego. If you ever drive it to Melbourne let me know, I'd love to check it out and take ya for a spin in my TE71.
  8. +1 Car looked the goods Doogs, was worth every hour you poured in.
  9. Another AE86 is joining our Northside cruise down by the look of it. We will be parking outside Cannon Toyota at 7.05 for a quick photo, leaving 7.15am sharp if anyone wants to join us, the more the merrier.
  10. Anyone from northern suburbs expecting to cruise through Heidelberg 7.15am tomorrow morning? There will be 4 cars leaving my place in the morning around 7 so we could join a group outside cannon Toyota parts opposite dirty bird (that's KFC for kids playing at home). White AE86 White KE70 White TE71 Green TA23 :)
  11. Good to see you're still going with this :) Catchya Sunday if you're coming to Classic Japan.
  12. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/70749-Shockworks-Toyota-AE86-Coilovers-Suspension-W-stub-axle-estimated-arrival-20th-September Shockworks rear dampers are height adjustable too, they come as part of the full kit.
  13. Balancing Services Australia Pty Ltd Balancing Equipment & Services - Preston, VIC 43 Chifley Drv, Preston VIC 3072, Australia (03) 9480 4040 Even better, cut out the middle man and deal with them. http://www.yellowpages.com.au/vic/preston/balancing-services-australia-pty-ltd-13259649-listing.html
  14. I had mine done locally down here in Melbourne, I can help you organize getting the yoke, uni and front of shaft (other part which uni fits in to, welds to tube) through the shop I used if you get stuck. If you have all the new parts I'm sure your local bloke can do the job for you.
  15. Series two T18 are 22 spline. Where are you located? I recently had a local tailshaft specialist do my tailshaft for the pano (has a 22 spline T50) and the yoke itself brand new was only $80 and actually has a bigger replaceable type uni as opposed the the original type which is piened in. I had already done a uni change on the original shaft and over time it got further and further out of balance so I'm glad I got it done professionally before the circlips vibrated loose (they don't mate flush all the way around due to the shape of the original casting).
  16. Those springs probably wont even take the car low enough to warrant lipping the guards, will probably still be way high. I personally think the 8's may be a bit wide. You may never need bigger than a 195 tyre which 7 inch wheel fits perfectly, unfortunately the grids don't appear to come as a 15X7. I personally wouldn't buy those springs, save money for something a bit better like second hand coilovers for the front and short stroke shocks and lower springs for the rear. Those spring will not make the car low enough to look like the car in the photo you posted.
  17. In the photo you posted, the car is lowered more than 30mm, looks like it's got shorter shocks all round unless the springs are just cut. I would recommend doing suspension properly before buying wheels. 7 inch width is plenty for an xE7x, if you go for a Rota something more like an RB in 15X7 +4 would be a smarter option as you are on the safer side if you get around to the path of installing longer lower control arms and different diff for example. This particular seller from the states is quick to ship according to another member on here who dealt with them... damn cheap too. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/15-ROTA-RB-BLACK-RIMS-WHEELS-15x7-4-4x114-3-AE86-COROLLA-DATSUN-510-280Z-280ZX-/261051779986?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cc7e60b92
  18. Show us a photo of how you want the car to look. 15x8 0 offset will require guard work.
  19. From the photo's they look like XT130/RT132, which measurement has ruled that out? I know the caliper bolt centres are 89/90mm on *T13* struts because you can use MX62 Cressida calipers and MA61 discs with some very simple mods.
  20. Sweet, as long as it doesn't fall on the QBWeekend I'll be in.
  21. Yeah I will not be ready in time :( Let me know if you miss your target date, so keen to take my new toy once I get the shockworks coilovers, RX7/Citroen brakes etc sorted.
  22. Damn, still not finished. You work slow :P Door looks heaps better now it's alligned.
  23. Hmm I might bring the Nisrolla if it's ready by then. PM me if you plan on doing this on other later dates.
  24. What we chatted about this afternoon about the door hinge allignment I can see very clearly now in the photo. It must be done.
