  1. Damn, shattered i couldn't make it. Didn't even sell the AE82 yet (next weekend the same bloke may buy it). The historics at Winton were awsome though. I'll make a thread soon on a Formula 3 car powered by a mighty 3K engine which i saw, to make up for my lack of attendence.
  2. lol, looking sweet guys. And I thought you were kidding in Gilly's KE70.com project thread when you said it will be ready in 2 months. *goes to ebay to buy clutch for new KE70's manual conversion*
  3. Try your local wreckers, although it's a fairly common problem you'll find some. I also bought brand new lights off ebay from "partsnation" knowing they didn't have the holders. I was lucky enough to get a good pair of the holders out of a parts car i scrapped a couple months ago, so they are around.
  4. 11am meet up at Northland is too late for me. My plans have changed I have to be at Winton raceway with my cousins for the historic races. My cousin that lives in Wodonga has a potential buyer lined up for the AE82, so I hopefully come home with no car. I put a brand new battery in the keto thisevening and she starts and idles like a dream:)
  5. hmmm that's tight clown, your mrs doesn't seem to have a lot of luck with cars.
  6. I think I may just come up to Northland to say hi in the AE82. Drove the KE home last night and I'm still amazed how slow the auto makes it (and I thought the 4 speed in my wagon was bad). Got a bit of little stuff to do on the AE82 on the weekend before I sell it anyway.
  7. Pretty sure the 14 X 7 Rewinds are neg 9 offset not 0 if i remember reading correctly on the technotoytuning site.
  8. Nice and neat for a KE30. You gonna just get the rego and enjoy it leaving it stock? Or some other plans?
  9. Tidy ride. Ke55 + 30 bumpers = winner White paint + white venetians = winner Keep doing what you're doing. ;)
  10. Hmmmm, I'm going to get an unregistered vehicle permit tomorrow arvo to pick up a KE70 I bought on Friday night. If I can get the thing rego'd b4 the end of the week I may just come along.
  11. I put in my pioneer h/u a while back. Got the thing tuned and had the timing belt and cam and crank seals replaced a few weeks back too, pushing what this thing owes me over the 2K mark. Current pics from thismorning... It's been an awsome daily for the last 6 or so months and never let me down. It's as good as sold already to a sister of my cousin's g/f for just a bit less than what it owes me all up. Only reason I'm selling is to gather some quick dosh together to get the KE i bought on Friday night on the road as my new daily.
  12. How's the custom dash looking at the moment?

    Hey All

If the opportunity arrises in your KE70 search, I recommend you get an AE71 (If you have plans of putting a cheap twincam motor in) instead of a KE70 as you'll alredy have clutch master cylinder & lines, T50 gearbox and A series stamping as your VIN. Makes things easier and cheaper in the long run. Oh nice Suby by the way 6 spokes look hot. Welcome aboard and don't forget to put your location in your profile;)
  14. This one = untouched, but my old AE71 daily thread will begin to get some updates by the end of the month;) If not give me shit and call me lazy, that bad boy is coming back gunmetal, quads and good 4A-C ASAP. Got all the parts, and shit in my life has settled down a bit (got my AE82 RWCert and moved house) so I'll be compiling parts from the other rolla's soon and bringing them back from Heathcote. You wouldn't happen to have an AE82 towbar would you??? Need to hook up a trailer for a parts run coz my bro's tow car will be unregistred for a few weeks while he spends up on his Sprinter:P
  15. No worries, I think my solution to that issue is either going to be importing the whole panel or just getting someone in the states to cut those (the ones you circled) bits off with a bit of extra metal both directions so I can weld them in to one of my Aus spec KE70 trays.
  16. Just had a look at the ad and it's just the RHS. Whereas I got a pair without corner lights. Try sourcing from USA as a full set it may work out being cheaper in the long run. I got my second lot (shown below) off a very nice bloke on Toymods from Cali for US$100 including shipping (AU$130). Might be worth trying to contact some members of ae86dc or teddy's forum ke70.com who live in the states to try help out.
  17. Pretty sure he's the same seller I got my bezels from, and another seller in thailand is where I got my Corner lenses to suit the bezels. I paid about AU $80 in the end by the time bidding was over and postage included etc... Do you realise that you'll have to cut into the top of your stone tray (just above bumper) to fit them? Or get an original stone tray from NZ, USA etc...
  18. Just out of curiosity, when was the last time you changed your dizzy leads? I remember my 4A-C missing and not running right at one stage and changing the leads fixed mine. Did you put all new on when you hooked up the electric dizzy?
  19. Top work Andrew, I missed the update a few weeks ago and now see all the work you've put in starting to really pay off. Lookin' sweet, be proud :lolcry:
  20. Pretty sure the KE70's started in 1979 in Japan. Oh, how are your seals? just camea across these.... Mr clicky on me thingo:P
  21. New rims I agree, I would even go 14 inch instead of 15. But that's just me.
  22. Oh dude, your missus name is Alanna too? They get to ya after a while don't they? ;) jk
  23. Neat ride ;)
  24. Your coming to Mel? PM me, we'll get boozed and talk shit. Oh and Winton Raceway fun day is on Sunday if your down this weekend.
  25. MA61's have IRS and LSD... ...two birds with one stone. Oh and in my opinion it would not make sense to put in a 20V if you're going to switch to 4AGZE later anyway. But until then, 4A-C's do 70,000 kms with near to no oil, have fun;)
