  1. Add to first post, Ben, a mate of mine coming in either an AE82 or KE70.
  2. Cool ride, should bring it to the cruise next sunday.
  3. Spent a good part of today restoring these DX headlights. I got some brand new aftermarket corner lights from ebay for them a couple weeks back. Also popped in some arctic blue globes (the main reason for the headlight change in the first place). Then went to put them on, to find out that as I had expected they do not clear the stock pano beaver panel. They don't drop down far enough  So it looks like I will need to paint one of my KE75 beaver panels to be able to fit them, as I refuse to just chop what's on there. I'm so shitty, I really wanted them in today. I'm sick of the crappy stock candles and don't wanna just throw in some hilux semi's because I like the DX style more.
  4. Count me in, I'll try get a few of the other E7 crew in on this too as i cbf and don't have time to organise another cruise at the moment. This run sounds sweet.
  5. Some interior shots...
  6. Update pics... A mate popped over to check out the Sprinter, ended up staying and giving me a hand to polish the van up, still gotta do the roof. Cheers to Ben for the help, some pics of his car too... The power house, lol.
  7. In "The Pursuit of Happyness" with Will Smith. The scene where he runs out of the building up the street, crosses the road and gets hit by a car I'm pretty sure the car that hits him is a KE70 twin headlight wagon from memory. Either way, if you're yet to see that movie it should be watched anyway.
  8. Yeah some rust in a few places, more than I was expecting but hey I guess you get that when you buy a car and don't look at it first. I had It shipped from Perth. Once I finish stripping the AE71 in my carport that space will be empty ready for the coupe to go in, then my local windscreen guy will come and pull my rear screen for me so i can send the rubber to QLD and have it copied while i do the rust repairs in that area. I'll post up pics of rust and progress as I go. All rust will be fixed as best as I can do (I'm a second year apprentice maintenance fitter). I will be just doing the basics to get it on the road and legal first with the current driveline, then pulling it off the road for rebuild when I see fit (keeping it rego'd). I'm guessing the current 3A-U, automatic, and S series driveline will give me the shits after around 3 months of occasional driving, lol. I have a 7 rib block bigport, T-50 and T series diff for it, still need an AE86 front section shaft and kaaz 2 way to complete my mechanical parts list. Also on the lookout for T-18 drivers door and front panels.
  9. What a spew, I'm rally driving that exact sunday down at weribee.
  10. Just had a quick flick through, loving what I've seen so far. Keep up the good work and best of luck with the rest of the build, I'll be watching with a keen eye. By the way what year prelude did the seats come out of? They look different to the pair I have.
  11. They were sold in NZ yes.
  12. basic photochop of what I'm roughly aiming for in the long term...
  13. Link to mine... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=23407
  14. Won't be at any meets soon, maybe 6 months time I'll have it on the road.
  15. Well I thought I'd post up here my project car I just picked up. I'm keeping the KE70 panelvan as a daily driver while doing up the Sprinter.
  16. KE70 Project abandoned?

    Roo's Ke70

You're both putting the right gear in your cars so I don't understand where the arguements are coming from. As for the quads, they look good but you need to cut the top of your beaver panel out so they're not pushing up to the bonnet if that makes any sense.

    Roo's Ke70

Glad you're happy with the taillights dude, car looks sweet. Throw in your other springs with a couple extra coils than what's in there now and it will look heaps better and be safer too. (stahlz_ae86 from dc).
  19. TE71 and TE72 should be the same as far as I'm aware. There should be some TE72 stuff around on trademe, no?
  20. I've got aftermarket E30 kit for my KE70 quads, started making the brackets a while ago, so much messing about, lol. These other ones look so simple, I say go for it.
  21. Did you end up deciding on a colour? Some inspiration pics 4 ya... I'm personally going to end up going gunmetal grey on mine (Unless I change my mind).
  22. Good to see it's coming along nicely mate, I'd think twice on using satin black too. I'll dig up a couple pics of red AE70's for ya later if that's the direction you're leaning towards. I just bought myself one of these as a project too (currently ugly slanty front model but i will be using early panels and KE70 quad headlights instead), so happy it arrives here in Melbourne on Monday :bash: Add me to msn if you use it, paul_stahlberg at hotmail.com I'll try remember getting pics up 4 ya later, gotta go for now.
  23. That they do, I'll be doing this soon with my AE70 as soon as I pull the ugly slanty front off it.
  24. I can appreciate the people who built this car have put in a lot of hours. Pitty it was a null result. I knew I came to the jokes section for a reason, lol.
  25. Nice tint, car looks clean as. Gotta love a tidy CSX.
