sounds great, but I have to wait untill the 1. anyway because I don't have money before then :insane: but I like the idea of first turbo'ing the engine, How much power do you think I will be able to get out of the 2T-B ( I have a spare 2T head, someone said that had lower compression than 2T-B ) I'm not going crazy, just realistic, within a ratio of cheap / power 200hp? USD$1000 ?

well, here in norway everything is expensive.. fuel cost aprox USD $1 and 40 cents per litre asked a exhaust shop, they wanted USD$571 for a complete 2" with a 'sports' muffler with warranty and the job done ( without manifold ) and atleast double price for only the manifold I could buy some parts myself and make them myself, I don't think that's too difficult.. but the extractors.. I don't think so..
-
hmm ok, that's not expenssive but how much does these 4-1 secondhand extractors weight? and what condition are they in?
-
that's impossible to get here in norway.. is it possible for you to source one and send it to me? can you give me a hint for the price for the exhaust manifold? but does not the turbo manifold point up? or what?
-
hehe ok, I just did this: the locked diff is much cheaper, and it works well enough for me at the moment. but later I need a LSD from a ae86 or something but I was wondering my exhaust manifold ( and engine ) is from a toyota with steering box but I'm using rack'n pinion steering.. so the exhaust manifold points at the steering.. my exhaust now has some serious bends to avoid the rack'n pinion steering and that's no good because they are crap is it possible to find a exhaust manifold that fits the 2T-B engine and doesn't 'crash' in the rack'n pinion steering ? creating own exhaust manifold 4 - 1 is a bit hard for me to do.. and to expensive at the exhaust shop.. what do you think I should do about the rest of the exhaust? 2" all they way to a muffler at the back? bigger? smaller? or using 2 mufflers?
-
yeah, the job is done, and it didn't take long time for me to find it was understeering hehe but it's much better to drift now :insane: I'm using the 2T-B engine so the car is even more front heavyer than before = understeer + locked diff = even more understeering.. hehe got a picture if the diff: will buy a AE86 rear axle with 70% L.S.D at spring / summer time.. is it hard to change the complete rear axle? does the shocks / springs mount the same? maybe I need a longer tailshaft too? or a ae86 tailshaft shortened?
-
I'm gonna go mad tomorrow I think I'm going for 100% locked diff because I can't afford a ae86 rear axle with lsd for my ke70 right now It's snow on the roads here in norway so its not a problem with understeering i think test drove a ke70 with 100% locked diff yesterday and it was just so much better than without but I'm wondering how good it will be at summer time.. you guys don't have snow in australia do you? How is it do drive with in high speed? 100-160km/h I just tryed it at a snowy parking place, drifting around.. so don't know how it is at higher speeds?
-
hehe okey, but I need a limited slip diff.. it has to be cheap, good, easy to install and not to hard to get I've heard of 'Phantom Grip' ( Phantom Grip web page ) do you guys and gals think this really work or is it just bullshit? My spare AE86 diff was not complete, missing a couple of parts so I couldn't use that  I've heard it is possible to use a hilux diff, does that mean the whole 'thing' the both back wheels are connected on or just the diff center thingy? if I have to use the whole thing don't hilux use 6 wheel bolts..? sorry but I don't know the right words for the 'things'.. hehe :)
-
hmm yeah, I have a spare 2T engine here so.. hmm but before I do anything I really have to get some better suspension I have a spare bilstein coilovers setup, but that's for rally and I think it's something like 10kg front and 6kg back and it's made for my AE86, is they compatible with eachother? AE86 -> KE70? what should I buy for regular usage, not rallying or racing, but more like a hmm street-racer setup? 6kg front and 4kg on the back?
-
i think the cost of sending the G head will be more than buy a complete 2T-G engine here in norway even it's pretty damn hard to find one, hehe i searched the web and found a site of a guy that turboed his 2T-KE70 http://www.kolumbus.fi/ville.parri/kuvat/e...o/iso/dx11.html and it sounds interessting, what if i just fixed my -B carbys, I've heard you can use any 2T/3T/2T-G/etc exhaust manifold, everyone is compatible with eachother? and 3T was available with turbo? but they'r pretty damn rare isn't they? so it will either be 4A-GE blue&black top( the only thing i'm missing is the ECU ) or 2T-G or turbo on my 2T any suggestions?
-
okey, default carby's for the 2T-G is 2 mikuni-solex? will I get them too? Would you have done the conversion? or do you think the difference is to small for 300$AUD? with the twincam design I will have more top end power yey?
-
300$AUD how much is that? not more than US dollars? I live in norway so it will be expenssive to mail it but what the heck, could be fun is the 2T-G is much more powerfull than the 2T-B or? I also tested to fit the pedalbox but the pedal goes the wrong way so I have to get a pedal box that fit or modefying the one I have
-
I have almost completed my 2T-B conversion now The 2T and T50 gearbox is in the car, but I'm using the carby from a stock 2T, the 2T-B twin carby's isn't in use jet :insane: and the exhaust crashed with the steering so we had to make some custom shit but that's not complete either the plans are 2T-B or maybe 2T-G if the (2T)-G head is a straight bolt on conversion?? and I can can capture on cheap enough to my budget :jason: I'm going to make my own 4-1 exhaust manifold that isn't in the way for the steering and 2"exhaust the clutch pedal is some sort of selfmade crap, I have a clutch pedalbox with master cylinder from a carina but haven't fitted it yet I will upload some pictures later today.. does anyone know if I could get a LSD of some sort? pretty tired of just doing single wheelers now :blinks:
-
Ok then, thanks for the help anyway.. someone wants to sell me some carbys with or without manifold to a 4A-GE, 4A-GE engine mounts and exhaust manifold? ;)
-
hmm, so I can not make my 4k / 2T-B engine mounts fit to the 4A-GE at all? it's hard to find 4A engine mounts here in norway.. anyone have a spare you want to sell? ;) and manifolds to the 2T can't be fitted to the 4A at all either? ;) can I use the exhaust manifold from a ae92/ae82 with 4A-GE? these are the only one that have 4A-GE engines at the wreckers here in norway, and even they are difficult to find.. ;)
-
I'm planning to buy a 2T-B and a T50 gearbox for my ke70 I also have a 4A-GE in my garage I'm not using, but I don't have the engine mounts and I don't want to use EFI.. ( to much work to change ) Does the 2T-B exhaust manifold mount on my 4A-GE without much work? and can I use the carburettors/ inlet manifold from the 2T-B on my 4A-GE? and the engine mounts, hard to make? can I use the 4k engine mounts if I modified them some? someone have any ideas what I should do? ;) PS: does anyone wanna sell their mikuni - solex carburettors with 4A inlet manifold? and some engine mounts? ;)
-
asked sellhom about this, about $200 to $300 US Dollars per ratio that's expensive but I will do it, just need to wait a month or so, doesn't have the money yet hehe It will be worth it since the gearbox cost around $3500 US dollars new and the car accelerates *MUCH* faster with the sellholm gearbox
-
Well, My gearbox is dead, and It isn't a T50 one.. expensive shit :P opened the gearbox to find the problem and.. well.. hehe, the picture describe the problem.. Can this be fixed without buying the whole shit? just the parts that broke? more pictures can be found at http://www.riiber.net/sellholm/ edit: made smaller pictures
-
Well, My Sellholm dogshift gearbox is dead, it happend last night, I geared up from 1. to 2. and the wheels just locked and I couldn't move the car so I had to lift up the back with a hydraulic jack with wheels and push the car out of the road hehe, I did buy a T50 gearbox, 2 friends came by and helped me change the gearbox, the Sellholm gearbox is very expensive so I hope I can fix it... it seems that its stuck in 2 gears at once... anyone have any suggestion? help needed! my AE86 runs on the T50 gearbox now, but the acceleration is just SO much better with the dogshift box..
-
Does anyone know if I can use AE82/AE92 or some simular corolla dashbord etc In my AE86?, It's expensive to buy it new from toyota norway... It's a lot of AE82/AE92 at the wreckers..
-
This is my AE86 I bought a couple of days ago.. We have bleeded the brakes, changed the dynamo, create mounts for the seats ( the mounts are made of wood and are only temporary till I'll buy someone that fit perfect ) the brake pedal is hard now, but it just won't stop. Well, it stops but it seems the brakes don't brake very well :\ the pictures named will small letters is new, from my new digital camera i bought yesterday.. Pictures and Movies the movies is not in great quality, but what can you expect from a cheap sony cybershot digital camera..
-
Yeah, I've got the 240km/h speedometer, but the tacho only goes to 8000 rpm :\ So I'll need to change it because the engine is good for 11000rpm :D
-
I have hydraulic handbrake on my AE86 :D
-
I buyed the car yesterday, got it 3 hours ago :D It's not driveable yet, I have to fix the selholm dogshift box and change the battery / dynamo? ( doesn't know if that's the word, if not, the thing mounted on the engine to recharge the battery ) After that I will buy a new front-bumper, maybe a rear-bumper? buy new back-lights because they're missing a paint job the get it look like a 'NEW' AE86 GT-APEX, black and white, maybe ask some stores about putting theyr logo on if I will get like tires, rims or other products I need from them It's only about 5 AE86 on the road here in norway, the rest are only rally cars was paying 45 000 NOK (about 5625 US Dollars ) for the car, to get it on the road with regular license plates it will cost me about 23 000 NOK ( 1875 US Dollars ) -David

I have found a AE86 here in norway for sale, and its NICE has gone as a rally car for about 2-3 years 4A-GE engine with modefied / changed top? about 170hp on the wheels no chairs, etc inside the car selholm dogshift gearbox with 5 or 6 gears, I don't remember.. 4,85 diff, yellow koni suspensions, big brembo brakes on the front, also changed the rear brakes 2 doors, look like a sedan? I think it's a AE86 GTS? If I'm buying this, I'm gonna work on it the whole winter here, and make it PERFECT for next season it need some work, new paint, change the front spoiler, etc, everything I need I will get with the car also an extra 4A-GE engine, and maybe a T50 gearbox? changed the complete driveline to a TRD one i think here are some pictures: Soon my new AE86 :D
