Thats a good thing :P for me to hear. thank you... so now that i know i have a 7k with k50 what clutch shouyld i get ? iv been meaning to looking into getting a new one if thats what the problem is.. do i get one to fit 7k or k50 i have no idea about this :| thanks

Yes the same ke35, thanks for letting me now its a K50... i hope it doesnt have major internal issues, i like using the 5th gear as i do allot of highway driving, no i haven't dropped it and inspected it. only changed the thrust bearing. I'm going to drop it now and check it out, i hope its something to do with my clutch or something... haha i don't know what you meen by driving "spiritedly" ... i can say >no i don't try drift a 7K with no lock diff, stock suspension and stock everything else pretty much :P :P :P... more a daily driver for me. with a little kick when i need to go faster. haha [way better than my old 3K] no i haven't, haven't pulled the box out yet.. YES it makes it in neutral with clutch out, then when i put clutch in it just goes away completely and the engine/gearbox sounds perfect. ? do you know what the deal is with that ? hahah Thanks guys

Hey guys I have a noise constantly in my gearbox of my 7k I don't know what box it it (5-Spd) (could someone tell me where to find out in the box ? ) Now it's hard to explain so I'm going to list the symptoms and hopefully someone will k ow what's wrong. - noise sounds like something is grinding - noise disappears when clutch is in... - noise is on when I am accelerating in gear - but noise is NOT on when I'm rolling in gear (not accelerating) I'm considering swapping the box to my k40 because I can't handle the noise... YES I have changed the thrust bearing (twise) made no difference Any help would be great

Thankyou, Umm I'm not sure what its calle but it's the original mustard/yellow they came out with ! So where I took it to get painted just looked it up and they just matched the original colour so I guess if you go to any painter they would be able to look it up for you

Ahhhhhhh it's been a wile!! Little update to my thread guys The 7k is tuned to perfection New HID kit on the way Boss kit and stearing is on the list I'm not gonna keep going list goes on forever Anyway fitted new wheels as well as custop engine mounts to make the 7k run so much better. Pain has been polished properly Photoes soon

Well iv get a 7k with a 40 DOCE Sidedraft weber, electronic dizzy, heavy duty starter, and alternator, leads and plugs. I'm going to get it tuned again because it running sh*tty right now, and I wanted to do some head work first, new clutch and just wondering about any other parts I can get... Thank you for that ill have a look, and I certainty will get it balanced if I end up pulling it down

Ok so iv read enough to know what little things you can do to improve performance in any k engine all being really similar but where can I get my hands on parts ? Like headers, extractors, cams.... And the rest ? Where can you look for the performance parts available ? Or where can I go to see what exactly there is to offer ?

Hi guys, I just went to go fr a drive, turned my key and nothing happened!!!! The "break" likes comes on when I fire the ignition that has never happened befor . I have reds, and the starter turnes when I hit the terminals ... But the engine doesn't turn over ? Iv never had wiring problems , could it be my starter ?

Hi guys I'm l looking at what options I have to get a little more power on my 7k befor I get it tuned. I'm running 1 &3/4 inch exhaust , electronic ignition, 40m weber sidedraft. Pretty basic setup. I'm not looking to race competitivly but I wouldn't mind later on just for fun. I was thinking of I get a better cam ( although I don't know where to find one for a 7k) ps there is one on eBay but I don't know how to read the specs and tell what it's good for The engine was a 7k-e converted.... I don't know why .... But that's how I got it. Iv seen the "how to build a tough k engine" write up but I don't exactly know how to approach a 7k because I'm not that experienced in engine building. I also don't want to do a full rebuild, Budget 1200 max Just post up your opinions :) Cheers

hey everyone... have had an oil leak where the fuel pump connects to the block. I went to change it and realised there was a spacer that was cracked and i cannot put the fuel pump on without it. I have called repco and they have no listing. I'm stuck for options. I'm not at home, I'm down the coast. I kinda need to fix the eproblem. So far i have used araldite on the spacer back together and am going to try to put it back with the gasket maker silicone... just to get me home about an hour away. I need to know if i can buy this part, if anyone has one for sale Or what i can do to fix it. its about 6 mm thick The engine is a 7K-E converted to a weber 40 side draft. thanks. here are some photos
