Bought this car off a mate for $1500,
Its got a rebuilt 4age motor just put in..
Interior is in pretty good nick...
Its gonna be standard for a bit but there was quite a list of things to do on the car...
Lets see where to start hehe
- Both Front window winder mechanisms were stuffed, so i needed a set from the wrecker
- Top part of the radiator support had a small amount of damage, the old one has been removed and new one is on now.
-Interior needs a good clean
-Fuel needs to be drained, its been sitting for a while
-Needed a new bonnet (got that now)
-Few interior panels needed to be sprayed as they started to fade(with VHT DYE)
-Needed an oil change
-Fuel filter needs to be changed
-Spoiler still needs to be sprayed
-Needed another 1/4 Panel (been replaced)
-Boot needs a GOOD clean
-Needed a few lights in the boot
-Needs a Corolla sx drivers side door trim (replaced with CSI one for now)
-Needs Rego and roadworthy cert
-Needs the weather strips that sit on the top of the door panel (where the door first meets the window
-Needs new windscreen
-Needs 2 new driveshafts
-Needs another hub assembly
-Trim on the boot was missing
I've budgetted its gonna cost about $2800-$3000 all up to get all the things on the list done and roadworthied, not bad for a ae93 sx with a recoed motor 20k ago and a perfect gearbox personally. Its the fun of fixing it up, knowing you did it yourself.
This was the day i got it (yesterday he he)
Had to get the car towed
Heres a pic, motor is spotless, the radiator support was soon to come out
New bonnet on the roof :) Best spot to put it so that it doesn't get squashed
Heres a pic of the stuffed window winder mechanism, it was actually missing some of the gear splines. Same as the other side
This is the stuff still to be put on, there is another pile too
