OMFG how did i miss this thread??? as reed (bzlbub666) can attest this is pretty much 90% of what i listen to! been listening since way back in the day (i remember pre-ordering copies of the hilltop hoods early albums!) I used to be a skateboarder back in the day and used to listen to hip hop cause the flow inspries me to skate better! as a skinny 12 year old my mates mostly older dudes) at the skatepark were feeding me all the american greats (hip hop not that rap drivel!) and one of the lads had a cousin interstate who worked at/for/with the obese guys and he started feeding us all this stuff with accents we could relate to about shit we liked! whos got favorite tracks? i think from the time ive been about i kinda like the older stuff i can't decide between two songs hilltop hoods- 1979 and bliss and esoterikizm (yes that what they were back in the day!)- lyrical wilderness. both of these are raw tracks before either group was getting serious about production and relied purely on talent! (not that either is losing skill!) among my collection i have a rare copy of bliss n eso's first album Flowers in the pavement! anyone got similarly hard to grab stuff? would love to do some trading! sorry for the novel guys but shit a topic I'm truly passionate about!!! *subscribes*

the moment after hours of working, yelling, cursing, cleaning, grunting and sweating, sometimes bleeding or even a trip to the emergency room, shes all back together and depending on which car, just firing it up or THE FIRST CORNER :D
-
ok where do i start... KE70 DX (jap import) picked up for 200 bucks from the local ford wreckers! number one bargain! AE71 spirit cost 200 bucks drove it home- made over 1000 in parting it and kept lots of stuff for my DX. Then chopped it in half and got just under a hundred bucks for the scrap metals from it! RT40 corona heavily modified (disc brake front, engine conversion, full exhaust, weber carby full suspension worked, a literal truckload of spares and body panels) 800 dollars plus regoed it for 300ish so we could drive it home! MX36 cressida wagon, perfect condition, 4 new tyres 10,000 ks old engine working aircon with new gas and several new components- 400 dollars driven home umm yeah i get the occasional bargain?
-
lol this is juust like mr the db kings car but with regular progress :D
-
wait scrap that, where did the other one go :/ either way no matter. like what you have done with the garden edging, cheap flares!
-

Well its been ages since i even drove this car, he above pics were taken on the last time i drove it! gathering dust in the shed ive been not motivated at all to work on or even drive it. today i chucked my steelies on it and went for a burn how id forgotten how awesome this car is to drive!
-
lol, the weekend after i am already busy, don't make your plans around me, ill come on the next one.
-
timings a little short for me or id be in but my cressida wont be regoed by then ;) once it is ill be at all of them, its great having a car that when i lay the seats down i can lay my full self out (all 6 foot 3 of me) and not touch with my head or feet.... next time, next time!
-
we took some pics the other night. sorry about the size but damm she be purrty hopefully i can convince chris to come on sunday.
-
check all your earths mate, id bank on it being this...

also I'm trying to twist my friends arm into coming... hes a amatuer photographer but his skillz are many, anyone who has me as a friend on facebook has probably seen his efforts making the corona look absolutely amazing in pictures... he can honestly make any car look like a showstopper without any photoshop needed. I'm sure most of you would like some nice high res pics taken of your rides, and I'm sure for a small fee he could sort you out with a copy. Make sure you wash your cars on the way down :rolls:

ok well with my corolla sitting in the shed under three inches of dust, and needing two flat tyres fixed, I'm not so keen to get it going for this, i know lazy right? but i will be working fairly hard to get bec's corona all sweet for it instead, providing this mountain range drive isnt a hoon through the mountains at breakneck speed event we should do ok. the olde 12r isnt a slouch anyways, much quicker than a stock 4k, she just doesnt handle so well. after all it is a 42 year old car :rolls:
