My old 200b used to do that after a few race meets cause of the carbon build up, used to just rip the head off, clean all the carbon off everything with carby cleaner and back together, but this motor had 11:1 comp and sidies.

crack test on the block? it was checked over very carefully visually while it was blasted back to bare metal, but the bottom end has remained together as this was a good running unit before it was pulled apart. its just gotten a paint and new gaskets and a couple of other things to make it work a little better when shes all running. i did a couple more things while i was waiting for dinner to cook this evening, will post pics soon, updating the software on my phone first
