  1. My car is all wired up and ready to go, but when we tried to crank it over nothing happened... woot. The sparky thinks he knows what the problem is, so if all goes to plan ill get it back friday. Shes so dusty and smells funny too :(
  2. Ahh Pauls Ksev is a nice car! Is he on these forums? How many cars were up there on the day? When i went to the fun day in 2010, there was just under 80 cars on the track at once! :blinks: Bonnet protector looks neat, such a neat clean car youve got there Ben. I don't know how you keep them both so clean.. teach me your ways! lol Also, just double checking, did you receive my email?
  3. Rego? who needs rego... I drove mine without rego for a few weeks before i got the RWC :P (now that i think back, don't do it :P )
  4. Surprisingly everyone does it lol, they must be wall shy, and unless you were having brake problems you could brake alot later too.
  5. Great driving mate! Your car's a beast :) Also, to add to that, heres the only video i got of the day.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGA49mkkBgY&feature=youtu.be
  6. Good eyes ;) thats the other one ive finished, i think it turned out a little better.
  7. Weeew!! Progress!! Shes looking great  Have you had a chance to drive it yet?
  8. Still haevnt gotten my car back. Was due to have it back today, but it seems ill get it back on monday or tuesday. Yeah i know the date keeps on changing, but its out of my control really :( just looking forward to getting it back soon :D Also, started restoring my wheels again and have finished 2 of them so far. Theyre Gemini wheels 14x5.5 with about a 20 offset (before and after btw ;) ) Theyve cleaned up really well. After taking the silicon/gunk that they have on them off then polishing, painting and polishing again, especially with all the spokes these wheels have it takes a fair bit of time. can't wait to see them on the car now that theyve been cleaned up :D
  9. Drive shafts don't need to be disconnected to change the clutch or to remove only the motor. If you undo just the motors mount, disconnect the motor from the box, lift the motor out enough to change the clutch? its too easy and wouldnt take long at all. In my case it would be better to do it this way with the tools i have. Each to their own i guess.
  10. Yeah i noticed that one time when you tried the kerbs a bit too much and went off through the s-bend :P haha EPIC PHOTO DUMPAGE!
  11. Was a good day, got burnt to a crisp in the harsh sun but got lots of photos. Ill upload them soon
  12. IMO, for a clutch change its easier to rip the just the motor out, change what you need to change and then pot the motor back in. Saves you ripping the x-member, box and driveshafts out and putting them back in again ;)
  13. Ill be there! I wont be racing though, my car wont be ready.. but be on the lookout for a really tall white kid with a camera. Ill come and say hi to anyone in a rolla aswell :)
  14. Woot. Good times.... I know how you feel mate :glare:
  15. Autobahn has some lug nuts. Try there first... then try ebay?
  16. Aww cmon man! You don't have much more to do, most of it is behind you! You can do it!! Car looks awesome :) just needs new shoes and coilies... itll all come together in time ;)
  17. Its coming along mate. haha your starting to be like me with a rim pile in your garage :) lol
  18. Yeah it was an awesome trip! I'm a light camper when i need to be, but we stayed in the valley for about a week and just hiked up the top to stay overnight. Down in the valley we had a decent setup with hot water showers, a kitchen sink and some fairly luxurious cooking setups... Plus I'm a wog so we take as much food as possible with us.. can't say we are doing it tough :P Not sure mate, it was still kinda damp when we left a few days after for brissy, so I'm expecting mould or something when i get back :glare:
  19. Not going to be racing my car, but ill come up to watch :)
  20. It should bolt straight up, there arent any real advantages with changing the suspension. If youre going to stock AE102 suspension the car will have a slightly higher ride height, the springs have a larger diameter... I'm not sure about the difference in shocks though. If you are getting coilovers then its all the same between AE92/102/112 as long as theyre macpherson strut setups
  21. Wont be able to make this one, Ill still be interstate :(
  22. Turns out my holiday is going to be slightly extended, which is awesome but means i wont be able to have the car how i want it for Australia Day at winton. Gives me some time to clean her up a bit more, test the new engine out and do a few more things before the next track day :) Must say I'm dying to drive this thing, its been over 3 months :(
  23. BURN ALL THE BRACKETS!!! lol Does look heaps tough at the moment, just needs a bit more work... slowly but surely this is gonna turn into a beast this year. Looking forward to seeing more progress (and rego)
  24. Spotted a sick Corona wagon in white which had black watas on the front and gold meshies on the back parked at victoria point.. i have a pic but ceebs uploading
  25. Everytime its that one random bracket thats slices you up :glare: how many stitches did you end up getting? Man i still can't get over this car, its so cool and looks tough as! all it needs is a new set of shoes... and rego ;) how long till its on the road?
