  1. Awesome! We should do a photo shoot sometime aye :)
  2. You should totes try and get this thing on to the lawn bowl pitch, it would make be an awesome location for a photo shoot Ben! :D
  3. Both mate, ive got a plan what to do but i have to find and then talk to the exhaust shop first to see if it will be too loud or not, but definitely chasing a touch more poke and less raspyness.
  4. It was a nice meet, if you could just convince the museum to buy the empty land next door and put a car park on there it would have been perfect, as the cars were too spread out and it didnt have the same atmosphere as usual. Regardless, the museum was really awesome and it was still a great meet! I'm just being picky ;) looking forward to the next one! (ill upload some of my pics tonight)
  5. Paint job looks great Ben! can't wait to see it all back together :D
  6. You don't do things in half measures aye? haha Looking real neat man!
  7. They arent excuses but if I'm gonna do it ill do it right and do it once ;)
  8. Well Ben I didnt have someone in the back seat, nor do i have back seats so taht wasnt the case. Also, God gifted me with long arms so I used them.. I was damn scared of scraping my camera  Hmm... well i filled up fuel, but it turns out its on its way to breaking again, as my wheel bearings are roaring and my exhaust is leaking :D which means new hubs and bearings, longer studs, spacers and a new exhaust system which actually sounds good :D
  9. Went to a small car meet tonight, took some pics :) Problem?
  10. For reference sake, I run fully synthetic 75-90 in my C52, but mine doesnt have an LSD
  11. I effectively run 15x7 +33 for the track... needs more 5mm more poke for me to be happy as i need more room to add even more camber in the rear. Ive seen an AE82 with 15x8 +25, just needs the guards rolled with minimal rubbing. 195/50/15 tyres are perfect size for an AE82 if youre going 15's. I run 205/50's and they are just a tad inaccurate but i can't find cheap track tyres in any other sizes that will fit. Problem with the stocko stuff is that it wont clear aftermarket suspension, and you don't have any performance tyres in 14 inch... My next set of wheels will be 15x7 (or 6.5) +25 to +30 depending what i can find if that gives you an indication. Perfect stance if you roll your guards and camber it a touch.
  12. Nice work on the grill, looks great. :)
  13. Mine is 6/4kg rates and it is actually quite comfy and not bone jarring stiff just firm, and yes they were cheap aswell. Choose your rates wisely and adjust the shocks to your liking ;)
  14. This is true, thing is if i was going out of my way to build a 7AGE i would make sure I do good job of it. Aftermarket ECU, ITB's, high comp, strengthened bottom end... Yeah it wouldnt be the cheapest, but if youre going out of your way to do it, you may aswell do it right
  15. Plastic skirts are off of a sportivo. Pretty sure you can get reps off ebay A 7AGE is definitely wprth the money and effort. A well built 7age should see ~150kw at the fly which is a very big gain! I'm just saying that you need to build up expirience before tackling something that big of a job ;)
  16. Any 4AGE head would fit on a 7A, but it isnt a simple bolt-on process... Also if you were going to drop a whole motor in a 20V Blacktop would be the only legal one because of laws not allowing older engines into new cars. 2ZZ would be a sweet upgrade but again isnt very simple to do.
  17. Youll need more offset to clear the strut. I have 205/50 15x7 +36 and I'm about 2mm away from the strut? I run 3mm spacers to space it out a touch more and still have about 8mm till i get to the guard. 6.5s will fit a bit nicer
  18. I believe you can modify the dizzy from the 4AC and maybe the 4K to suit which both run on carbs. But i could be wrong, last time i looked at doing a carby setup was a few years ago
  19. You can buy coilovers from MRP that have been tried and tested. I stand by his coilovers as I have them in my car... theyre awesome! Also all AExx sussy is fine to use on an AE82 apart from the strut tops which you will need to change
  20. Do it! Track car would solve the transmission problems that you and your missus have Sorry to dissapoint mate, but its a Tim's catch can ;) haha yeah its just a few stickers my mate put on when he had it on his old AE92. I think it looks great :)
  21. I took it too far didnt i? My argument is still valid. All the best with getting it started mate!
  22. If youre getting a Subaru, get an RS (bug eye or newer) and the only thing to do is add a rear sway bar. They handle well once you dial out the horrible understeer! plus you can put them sideways fairly easily once you know how to drive them.. On the dirt the stocko suspension is flawless :) Catch can doesnt make much of a difference, there is a touch less smoke out the back when you rev it, so it runs cleaner i guess... Also forgot to mention that I found the culprit of the knocking coming from the right suspension, the ball joint was loose where it connected to the control arm :| Also possible wheel bearing failure, there is heaps of road noise coming through! but no play in the hub from what i can tell, can anyone shed some light on this?
