I have the 4k turbo ready for install, does anybody know what sort of mods i have to do to the motor for the install, e.g. changing water pump to 3k or something like that? James

Ok, so i have got the 4k turbo motor ready for the install, does anybody know what sort of work I have to do to the motor before the install, like changing alternator or anything?

Hey, I am currently rebuilding a ke35 1975 coupe and a ae93 sx with a 4agze. the dashboard though in my ke35 is shot:O Does anybody know where i can get one OR if i can put a ke55 dash in without to much modding. If anyone knows of any good dashboard repairs in perth i will be happy to hear from you. Thanks James

well i have changed my mind and am deffenitaly gonna go with a turbo 4age, which should go nice.. I will have to get a hilux diff shortened and i will have to wreck a ke70. I am going 4age as i have already got a t50, and wire harness.

the motor fanged apperantly and never had any issues, would always start. For the conversion do I have to put the 3k alt and water pump on the 4k?

first thing ive done is body work, so soon i will begin to take the head of the 4k and do some work to it while buying new oil, plugs etc, and i will ave the turbo rebuilt. Does anybody know of places that would be able to build a turbo manifold as i have got one but it was homemade originally and doesnt give the air the best flow/? James

ok thanks for that i will contact them, i found out today that the 4k turbo has heaps of fruit already has all of the above, ported head, honed block, short duration lifter cam so on and a t2 turbo and i can get this and a 5 speed for free. so I'm thinking i might do that. sometime soon, the engine hasnt been running in 11 years so i will get the head skimmed, new cam, so on. This is what the old ke35 looked like last year, don't have a photo of it now, but all the rust has been cut out and replaced and all the body parts removed ready for paint. still has the 3k, do you recomend i keep the 3k or would someone be interested in buying it. I believe its only done 132xxx k's as it has been in the family from new.

Ok thanks, I actually already own a 4k turbo but the turbo needs rebuilding and the motor has probably done 50k since last rebuild. I believe I'm going to go the 4k turbo with 5 speed and maybe later a 5k . Thanks for everyone's thoughts. As I'm a bit short on cash.

Nah, the old girl is manual 4 speed, so you recommend keeping the old k series engine. Ok, would a 5k turbo go alright?

Hey, I'm new to this website, but i have a ae93 with a 4agze and i enjoy the power, i also have a old 1975 ke35 coupe with the 3k engine. I have done a tonne of body work as it did have rust, but i want to make it a bit faster. i know how rare they are so i don't want to mod it too much. Would it be worth putting a 4k turbo rebuilt into it or go with the 4age? James
