  1. And you can also get them in RWD as well, just got to know where to look.
  2. Plus one rep to you my good sir for thinking outside the box :D Have you thought of the Suzuki G13B twincam ? Swap out the crank from the Serria's G13 - the crank has a slightly longer stroke Bore the block out 3mm from memory and you'll get a 1.5Lt Do a cut and shut conversion on a Serria bellhousing and T50 bellhousing. Its something i've wanted to do but never had the wife's permission and either A> the money B> the time C> the transport
  3. The first thing i'd do is throw the face shield over left shoulder and then throw the brush/hammer thingy over my right shoulder and buy a face shield that has both a auto lens and it'll sit on top of your head, buy a proper wire brush, a welding hammer and while at it buy some welding gloves. Could get away with using that wire brush/hammer thing but you really need two hands for welding, so make sure on a face shield. Apart from that the machine seems ok. Have you had a look at the ones in Bunnings ? If and when dad takes his back from me there's two there i've got an eye on. Another thing to think about is parts. Its something that dad always goes on about when we start talking welders. The tips and nozzles are easy to get but its the handle and wire feed pipe etc that can be the bugger.
  4. Ok... how the heck did you do that ?
  5. How wides the ke70 spring ? I know their wider then the coilovers but at least your not mucking around with those weld on jobs that could make the car illegal and not having to spend upwards to a grand or however much the complete struts are. And on the other side of using the ke70 struts, unless you knew what you was looking at you wouldn't even know it.
  6. Why the need to go coilover's ? Like i said before, ke70 struts fit. The only thing needed to change is the bearing plate and thats it. Period.
  7. Dual cab 4wd ute :jamie:
  8. You'll have to use another driveshaft from a manual ke55. Gearbox x-member - you'll need to either to make one or the auto's x-member is welded to the manual's x-member. Either way you go, you'll need the rubber mount from the ke70 g'box (its different to the '55) In a automatic ke55 or late '30 swapping in the '70s manual box is a bit of a muck around with the x-member but your not cutting the trans tunnel and cause the shifter pokes up through the hole for the auto selector it sits in a much better spot.
  9. In the '55 you'll have to make a gearbox x-member. To make the swap go a little easier is use the g'box from a ke70 AND make sure you also grab its x-member. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/19141-trouble-with-ke55-manual-conversion/ Have a search, there should be a few more on the ke55 auto to manual problems and difficulties. Need to use the ke70 struts with the camber tops. Urm, sigma arms - no ke70 struts - yes. Pull out the old ke55 struts and slide in the ke70 struts
  10. Cool have to remember that, thanks Ian.
  11. KE20 arms will throw some extra camber
  12. Far out it shuts me to tears, find an interesting write-up of a custom ute in some forum go to have a look see and google is fine with taking snippets of the thread but oh no i've got to phucking sign before i can even see the main page of the blasted forum.

  20. your not wrong. The wife would kill me but i'm getting ideas as well. :hmm: maybe a bit of rake on the front, give the impression of going fast but with a 50cc motor....
  21. Lucky. When it happened to me, the cheapest thing i could do was toss the crank over my shoulder and use another one. I was talking to a guy (Big Daddy, Big Boy, Biggy or something along that line), he lived and breathed 4age's, on the old Toymods forum not long after and was telling me that one of the weak links in the 4a is the keyway.
