Should have some stiffer 86 springs in the shed to prop up the back tho?

It actually looks worse now than it did before... must be a combination of extra tyres in the rear and front springs having to settle again

So glad I saw this thread. Was about to put my high comp high power engine together with ARP studs. Would have cried if it blew up. I've confirmed this issue with pictures if anyone is interested.

If you're going to replace the entire thing at least get a t-series diff (from a T-18) or even better, one with disc brakes off a Jap-spec AE86. That way you get larger axles and option for a LSD...
