Yes it was the same before they were balanced. Altho the driveshaft may infact be slacking a bit, not sure as i haven't checked it properly yet. So that alone could be a cause? Wouldn't that just follow along with everything else when its even load on it at roadspeed?

Where is the best place to put a cable between the dash and into the engine bay? Do you have to take it through the front left fender or is there someplace more convenient to put it?
-
Don't have any. Steel wheels only and all 4 balanced 3 weeks ago.
-
Well there is only 4 gears in the box. But yes you can feel it in 3rd too, but not as much. And it seems to disappear more and more the more RPM you give it.
-
Been noticing that when driving normally in gear at some RPM's, mostly between 60-100 km/h (4th gear) it's like something is vibrating and you can feel it in the entire car. When i press the clutch or have it in neutral and just let the car roll the vibrating disappears. You don't notice it while standing still. I'm thinking either clutch, driveshaft or rear axle?

Or you could change to more narrow tires. Fat tires makes it a lot heavier to steer. I'm running 155 tires god knows how old, they might be from the 80's or 90's :D They're totally terrible to drive with tho :D

Here's a few pics from today, terrible quality i know... Just waxed! Went over it with some rubbing and a "red paint restorer" wax afterwards. Altho for the sharp-eyed person you'll notice that the rear of the car is actually red'er than the front which has more orange in it. That's probably cause the paint has faded in the sunlight. The waxing did help a bit for it to be a clearer red color. But i don't think you'd notice it that much when looking at it outside in the sun. And these pictures lie a bit too, it's not this noticeable in real life. Got a little temperature gauge beside the steering wheel there that i added yesterday but apparently it's some cheap shit cause it doesn't feel like it's showing the right temp at all, neither inside or out -.- Next on the agenda is a home-made center console of sorts.

Actually i think i figured it out. Found a White/brown striped wire that has 12v on constant where i can hook the + to instead and it should work fine.
-
Installed a stereo in my KE70 and switched on the ignition and it started up fine, but when i put the lights to park or low beam (running lights) it cuts the power to the stereo. Wires are presumably factory wiring and i've got + on a Green wire and - on a Blue wire. There's also an extra wire thats White with Red stripes which i don't know what it does. Anyone know what's up?

Collected the rear speakers, amplifier and some constructionmaterial from my brother today who had it lying around his home :) Going away for work tomorrow until thursday so i won't do anything about it before then, but it'll be great i hope!

Installed the new gauge cluster yesterday! Looks awesome! But excuse the other mess, i'm still working on the stereo so i've left the surrounding plastic away for now. Works perfectly as far as i can tell. Even tho my other dash didn't have the Economy gauge the vacuum hose was already there just to plug into the new one. I'm just loving this car more and more for each day! :D

Right, got the stereo working today and i also managed to get the speakers in place. Tho that was quite a bitch since it was so tight! On the passenger side i had to leave out 2 out of 3 screws cause they wouldn't fit anymore when the speaker was pressing on from behind, but it was steady enough so ill leave it like that i think. Driver's side was easy. So now they're completely hidden away :) Stereo started up and ran fine but i didn't mount it in cause it's getting late and cold and i suspect it will be more bickering again before i have it in the stereo slot, if it fits at all (lenghtwise)....

Bought a stereo today and a pair of 4" speakers. Looks like this: http://images.pricerunner.com/product/image/193942199/JVC-KD-R422.jpg The speakers were also JVC, but they didn't fit in the mounts cause they were like 0.5 cm too narrow So I'm not sure what to do about that right now. But to my surprize the cables were already there for both the front speakers and going up to the center stereo mount. There has Never been a stereo intalled in this car before cause everything was untouched :D Have to pull new cables to the rear tho, but that's no problems. Gonna make a new wooden board between the rear seats and window (don't know what to call that area in eng :P) where I'm putting two decent 6x9 speakers connected to a small amplifier.
-
Great :) Gonna have to buy a pair of those then.
-
Put in the new spark plugs, ignition coils and air filter today and it was a slight improvement :) Got rid for the small extra twitches when accelerating as far as i could tell. Only went out for a short drive cause i don't have road papers on the car atm so I'm not allowed to drive it on the road. And i also changed the thermostat yesterday. Next on the list is probably some audio system. I noticed there are already a place to put speakers in at the front close to the floor in the sides. Is that made for 5" speakers or something there about?

Such a nice weather outside this afternoon i had to take some new pictures :) Shiny or what?! :D The 'Rolla in the background :D

I also had 2 different 405's before this 406. Both of those were GLX models with 1.6l and 1.8l engines. I sooo wanted a 405 Mi16 about 6 months ago too and i almost bought several :D But now i ultimately bought the KE70 so i won't buy any Mi16 now.
-
Yes i know everything about almost every Peugeot engine :D And yes they do remind you of the S14's, ive noticed that too.
-
I've also been thinking about a chipped 2.0l 406. They can't be that slow. And you get very far on a tank of gas. Still, i love my car despite it's minor faults.
-
Yes I'm starting to be really jelaous of the Coupé too. At the time i bought my car i liked the Sedan better, but the Coupé has grown on me all the time and now i want one of those :D With the V6 engine! But they are pretty expensive, and they like gas a lot :( Here is the ultimate one, how they should look:
-
Totally agree. That's the only thing missing now from making it extremely awesome. I'm keeping my eyes out for wheels all the time, but i havent found any yet.

Here are the stuff, with the exeption of the oil.

This is my other car, a 2001 Peugeot 406. You don't get much of these down there i would imagine do you? :D Works as my (as of since i bought the KE70) summer only daily driver. - Engine is a VCT 2.2 litre inline-4 petrol engine putting out 158 BHP @ 6550 RPM and 217 Nm (160 ft·lb) @ 3900 RPM. - 5 Speed manual gearbox. - Exhaust is stock 2½" exept for the last muffler that's a jap spec 4" pipe. - Suspension is aftermarket adjustable (height/stiffness) Koni dampers and lowering springs. - Rims are called Image Blade 7.5x17" with 225/45 Minerva F105 tires. - Front brakes are vented discs 283x26mm and rear is 290x10 solid discs. - Xenon in low-beam lights (not stock). - Tinted rear windows. - 3 chrome stripes in the grille. - 10" bass in the boot :D It's a poor old speaker but it does it's job quite well actually. Here's some pictures for ya'll:
-
I want those rims too! :D

Tinted the rear windows last night :) I like this look a lot more than original. It differs the car a lot from any original car. Also today i've been shoppinga new air filter, spark plugs, ignition leads, oil, oil filter and a thermostat which will be followed with new coolant liquid aswell. Also bought one of those "engine flush" bottles designed to clean up the engine.
