Ke55, I have some speedway style camber, +2 degrees on one side and +1 on another.. What can i do?

Here in canberra we have some great roads for rallying :) open to the public too. Speed limit is 40kph abd just like normal road rules. However not too many people go on them but you get the occasional hoons on dirt bikes ir stolen car getting flogged. I tend to go out early in the morning as there is less chance of coming around a blind corner at speed at running into someone. Ill agree with above about jumping cars.. Unless you have well setup suspension, sump guard, re inforced strut tops etc, you will kill the car very quickly. My front shocks are stuffed after a few jumps.. Fun while it lasted but not again. I'm currently setting my daily into a cheap rally/khana car that i can still drive everyday. Going ti sydney this week to get some rally tires :)

Hey guys, 81' KE55 rolla, when the tank is full the needle points to full as it should but if i drive say 20kms then turn off and restart, the gauge will show 3/4. Some times 1/2. If i bang the dash it may come back up, or on the down hill sometimes. I already have pulled the cluster and sprayed contact cleaner on the tabs on the back. Any others common faults?

For rebuilds ring GCG 1800 TURBOS, or Procharge. If your looking for new turbos, kando dynamics on ebay sell mitsubishi turbos (yes they make turbos too) such as td05s and TD06s.. And for a great price too. If not used is the way to go. Standard WRX turbos sell very cheaply ( TD04) and last ages!

Manual too... Nice one. We have a few customers with volvos. All owned since new, one with 420xxxkms on a 960, a 264 thats overrated which we got rid of the shitty french v6 and put a B23 in it. And a 240 with 144xxx on it, old widdowed lady which was told by her late husband to service it every 3 months, which may be 150kms and the oil is still golden. Nice pickup though!! They are aweseome cars

I was thinking of making my own strut brace from a cheap ebay one i have here from a subaru.. Trim it down, redrill the strut top bolts and weld it up

What happens when its rusted all the way through and is thin? Do you just sand it back lightly then rust converter then fiberglass?

Spoiled the old girl today, checked all trans oils, topped up the gearbox. Tightened up the front wheel bearings and noticed the RHF brake line had perished :( the rubber has split leaving the inner lining exposed.. So i treated it to 2 new front 1 peice brake lines and fresh fluid.. Awesomr lol

Hey guys, tried searching but found nothing. I'm after the PCD and the correct offset to suit my KE55 sedan. Id like to run a 175 or 185 tyre and have it brought out more to the guard, but not scrubbing or hella flush. This is for a rally application so i do need to be able to have enough for the front to clear under braking and full lock. 13x6, 14x6 or maybe 15x6 is what I'm looking at. Cheers

Just read the whole build and I'm very impressed! I guess its hard to actually see the condition from the pictures, but the paint looks unreal! Those wheels just top it off aswell. Definatly a thread i will keep checking for updates for ideas for my white squared lighted ke55

My mates BF RTV makes 182rwkws with xforce extractors into a 2.5" exhaust, growler intake, F6 little air duct scoop thingy and SCT tuning tool tuned by Jake at jakes performance. Since the tune i have had a play around and found that there was more in it, had a play with the timing it feels great through the midrange. Not sure what it would pull though

Guys, don't stress. Its not going to get trashed. :) I drive enough to have fun in it but while keeping it sensible and having mechanical sympathy.

Everyman and his dog has a WRX :fuzz: So i never really get pulled over in the family sedan. As for the rolla its got a nice rust patch in the LH rear quarter under the chrome bar. Its got holes in it and the rust is also evident in the boot where the rubber seal goes around which also is very religious. So I'm tossing up a few things. Do i... #1- Do it properly, Cut the rust out, weld in new bits.. spend alot of time on it and possibly money getting it nice #2- Sand it back and use some rust converter, then use "gorilla hair" (its bog with fiberglass in it) to mould over it and to fill in the holes. followed by Paint. #3 It a 30yr old car that owes me under $500, Leave it and just keep driving it. Its not worth spending money on it. The LH side of the roof, bonnet and pillars also has painted cracked, weathered and chipped which i have started to sand back as ill pressure pack it white.

Nice KE55 Alana. How did you go when you got it resprayed, Did you remove any rusted areas or just use rust converter and prime/paint over it? I'm new to the bodywork side of things and would like to fix up my ol girl

Hey guys, Some of you may know or not, My name is Lance and I'm new to the rockin rollas scene. I'm keen to learn more about what really makes these things tick and hopefully get all you ACT guys out of your cages and maybe start getting an active amount of members on here. I'm thinking maybe a meet/dinner/cruise/whatever once every two months to let everyone meet each other and just have a general catchup.
