  11. Hey dudes, We had a car show here in canberra on the weekend which also incorperated a dyno comp. Since my project car wasnt finished in time i took the daily along for shits and giggles. 1981 ke55 corolla with 4 speed, standard 4k with 301,000kms on the clock. New spark plugs, fuel filter and points 1000kms ago. We took the aircleaner lid off for maximum flow and strapped it down. This is the result:
  12. Bumping it up, get your entrys in!!
  13. Plastic spoon :) Marcus, as you csm see 6623 is where maximum power was achieved.. Look closely at the curve as power starts to drop as it passes 7000rpm. Due to the car having no tacho or revlimiter (of course). Valve bounce was the choice of knowing when to stop ;) It was great for a laugh though, the car before me was a supra that made 320kws.
  14. Had a dyno day today at Ultimate tunes for JDMfest. Thought it would be a laugh, i got the lowest reading for the day and won a plastic spoon ;)
  15. My subarus exhaust is all tig welded by another place. Got them to install a new muffler and tip. Muffler has chrome finish and it has Mig weld slag all over the chrome ;(
  16. Mustard ke30 at maccas belco tonight And a ke55 square headlight wagon pulled up at cassurena sands today.. Looked awesome as i have never seen a wagon one before

  19. Sorry guys, havnt been on here in a few weeks and missed it :( You should of reminded me marcus
  20. I will replace pads on customers cars if the pad material is equal or lower than the backing thickness, of coursr some cars like falcons don't have a thick pad to begin with. But its a good rule to stick with. Obviously rear shoes are different, and you tend to want to change them with 2mm left, and they do wear uneven too.
  21. Hey guys, just a reminder that the Light car club of canberra will be holding their last Khanacross for this year at the paddock next to the grey hound racing track in symonston on the 3RD OF DECEMBER. You will need you 2NS CAMS licence which can be done on the day. Entry is like $70 so cheap fun :) Ill let you guys know more as it gets closer to the date. Shannons will be sponsering the event and there is small prizes for many novilty awards :) Here is pictures of me from the recent one on saturday 8/10/11
  22. Very nice!!! Go team square headlight
  23. Lccc khanacross is tomorrow near the greyhound track :) Ill be there competing in my KE55.. First ever event
  24. I picked up 5 rims from a mate and decided to tidy up 2 for the time being and put them on the rear. tread is limited but better than my completly wornout bridgestones. I'm unsure what car they are off but they have a better offset and also have a wider tyre (185/70/13) compared to my old 155/85/13s and look nice and wide from behind. They also fill the guards nicely and with the stock chrome dress ring give them awesome dish :) What do you think? With chrome dress ring Without chrome dress ring Ghetto picture taken at 3am in the morning, a mate and i were bored last friday night and drove around Canberra for 5 hours straight, north to south, east to west. We came across a few guys giving me thumbs up which was pretty cool too :) Also a few pics from having fun on some dirt roads Checking out the articulation of the rear suspension lol (long story) I also fixed the wiring to the cd player so it now saves its settings, also temporaly fixed the window rubbers on the inside where the window slides on. As above 60kph i would get cold air coming in :( But with the latest rain my back seat is soaking and noticed the rear window isnt sealing :( so thats tomorrows job
  25. Looks great, I got a question though. The rust in the boot there, where the boot seat goes, mine rusted there too but so bad that its got holes in it, How do you shape the lip and get the right bends?
