Yeh I'm not going to go to a 5k cause I don't wanna spend money for an extra 100cc. And I'm staying away from injection for now. So what I'm understanding from the replies is the box in mine at the moment is a k50 which is a weaker version of a t50?

Hey guys this is my first post on this site I'm currently doing some work to my girlfriends 1980 ke55 corolla. It's running a dirty old 4k-c with a 5 speed manual behind it. I'll be doing a bit of work to it soon like painting redoing the interior and the reason I'm in this section I'm changing the engine. I plan to put in a 2tg which I am yet to source. The main question I can't find an answer for is will my box fit up to a 2tg? I know the 2tg fits a t50 but I'm unsure on what kind of box is in at the moment. The main reason for asking the question is my box is still in good nick and I'm not really to keen on fitting a hydraulic clutch up at the moment. Also if there's anybody that reads this and has done this conversion before are there any tips or tricks you can share to save me any major pains in the behind? I'm located in ACT and if there is anybody around here with a 2tg ke55 I could have a quick look over it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Peter
