Nissan Skyline Motor In A Ke70 Can I Be Moved
johnny t replied to madmax7's topic in Engine Conversions
i think if your gonna do it do it properly the first time sr or ca all the way!! if you go a 4AGE your only gonna want more power late so y spend the money in doin it twice.up to him and how much money he has/ wants to spend -
styler hit it on the head. I'm doin a sr20det conversion at the moment ive spent 23,000 and thats not even running! still gota be wired up and finished bein painted havnt touched the interior besides the dash. like styler said it just depends who ya know and where ya can source parts from/know what parts you need. most importantly have a fair bit of $$$ and willing to spend it i got told when i started, take what price u think its gonna cost and double it!soo true! do searches for oh what a nissan feeling ke30 and also my ke30 just do ya research! johnnyt edit: lloyd also has a ke30 with a ca18det in it and ca18rolla has a coupe with a ca18det in it read as much as ya can.

take the black covers off and just look at it and see where the screws are undo them and you should be right i havnt done much with that but ive taken off the covers and i remember couple of screws
-
i havnt actally drove it with it cause my car isnt goin yet but if you do it properly u shouldnt have a problem. I'm gonna use nylock nuts if the to nuts that arnt locked 2gether don't work but i think they should hold

look at my thread i posted search hydrolic clutch to give you a rough idea of how i done it and also oh what a Nissan feeling has one on there to. i know its not in a ke70 but it will give u a beta idea. you could make it work for the time being and then once ya meet is done the get the ae71 box. to me having something done properly and know it works and to know you wont have a problem $200 is nothing. but hey thats me good luck with it hope this helps johnnyt

where the thread goes through the clutch pedal that is the piviot point so the bottom of the elbow is free to alow it to pivot from that point and that point is full movement of the clutch master try and picture what would happen if that pedal moves.
-
yep i think it was thats where i got the idea of that thread set up thats exactly right its not tight agains the elbow so it can pivot. yeah nyloc nuts would do the trick thats just what i had acess to cause of eveywhere shut atm cause of new years. if they end up loosening i will get different nuts. shouldnt cum loose tho if you do it up tight enough.
-
na the rod turns inside the clutch masta so all you need to do is undo the the silver lock nut there and simply twist to adjust.
-
hey guys i done my hydrolic clutch on my ke30 ive looked at other threads and the push rod was on a angle and i didnt like that idea because it would wear the seals in the master. so i tried sumthing... which works well i used the basic idea of a bolt with about 50mm of thread and 4 nuts as you can see in the pics. i used the same point of push but created my own elbow joiner so it pushes from the same point but keeps the push rod straight with the clutch master. i used a ta22 clutch master.johnnyt
