Hey, I am almost finished puting a 5K in my KE70. I was just wondering how much oil the 5K hold as i only have the dipstick off the 4K. Are the dipsticks the same. Any help would be appreciated. I have searched the forum and can't find anything. Thanks, Mitch.

I put the 5K and new exhaust in today. All thats left to do is hook everything up, tidy it all up, start her up and drive. . . . . And put pics up.

Agghh. . . No way, that would be so bad. Not only would the accident rate triple but imagine waiting for 2 years to get your P's, knowing that you could drive already.

Check the tension of the belt, make sure its not to tight. You should be able to twist it about a quarter of the way around and not have to struggle to much.

There is always rumours like that going around. I wouldn't worry about it. There was one when i got my Ls that you had to be 16 and 9 months and had to have your Ls for a year. Its all bullshit.

It is closer to the real speed up to about 40km/h and then it goes to around 20km/h faster then what i am actually doing.

Hey all, I searched the forum and couldn't find anything on this. I have a 32/36 weber and I'm putting it on my 5K. I was just having a quick look at everything and couldn't find an inlet thing for the solid fuel line. Am i just blind and can't see it or do they not have a solid fuel line? Any one that has put a 32/36 on a K motor before, any info or pics would be appreciated. Thanks.

OK. Its a stock box, and stock cluster. It has a set of 15 insh wheels on it though but i don't think it would make the speedo read 20+ on the actual speed. Even if i change the speedo drive it will still be wrong so I just thought getting an electronic one would fix both problems. Whats your guys suggestions, just leave it and guess how fast I'm going or what?

I'm guessing thats you Jase, haha. I have no comeback :laff: Killswitch, I got my 5K for $300. Owner calims it has stage 2 cam, forged pistons and bored out 30thow. And its painted gold :laff: , haha. Conversion is going fairly smoothly so far i havn't run into any troubles yet and hoping to have it done over the weekend.

Hey all, The speedo in my KE70 is to fast by about 20ks. I heard that if i run an electronic speedo that i will get a correct reading. Is this true? Any info on how they work will be appreciated. Mitch

New clutch, thanks to TURBO ROLLA. Getting new exhaust, just stock, tomorrow. Then its just a matter of lifting it in and bolting her up. Sorry no pics just yet but they are on there way.

Oh and I got the 4K out over the weekend and got a carby so its just about ready to go in. YEW

The number is in big numbers on the side of the block. It has its own little ledge so its hard to miss. Sorry i don't have a pic to show you.

In the long run if you want to drift i reckon get an AE71 spirit. They have the gearbox (if manual) to suit the 4ag, strong diff and decent chassi. They are basically a better looking sprinter, in my opinion. My mate just got one in overrated condition for $1300 and it had rego. Its the nicest AE ive seen. But when you are buying them just get under the car and have a feel of the tailshaft to see if there is any play in the diff and listen for crunches in the gearbox.

OK, thanks. I was told that you couldn't and it still wont be as good. It might just have to do for a while though until i can get some money together.

I would love to see someone put a v6 in a rolla. Go for it mate just so everyone laughing at you shuts up! But i really wouldnt be expecting to have it as a road car. And if you do make sure everything is legal i.e engineered etc because you don't want to be paying for someones mercedes when you smash into it and your insurance wont cover it. Goodluck mate. Put some videos up as soon as its done.

I'm pretty sure there is problems with sump clearances on the 7K but you can just swap it for a 5K sump. Usually all the K stuff is interchangable and I'm pretty sure they should both just bolt on. A 7K would go through gearboxes/diffs fairly quick though because they are really torquey.

Well it was definately wrong for mine. My speedo is to fast by about 20ks and that said it was to slow by 10ks. Haha does that mean i need a new speedo cable or what?
