  1. The cables do stretch over time. If you don't want to get it professionally shortened try putting some washers in behind the round rubber block at the firewall.
  2. Oops, just realised I edited not quoted
  3. The actual advantage of them is you can run far less tension on the belt compared to a v belt, relieving load on the bearings. Every one gets a blind sided by the noise though....been guilty of that myself.
  4. Its called the hot box gasket. Be careful removing the bolts that hold them together, they have a tenancy to snap!
  5. I vaguely recall something about 4age ones fitting, might be worth investigating further.
  6. D'port Krem?
  7. Does your rear suspension travel more than 40mm under normal driving conditions!?
  8. Bs. I've run pretty much stock bottom ends with several turbo setups and never blown anything but a head gasket. It all comes down to having an adequate tune, particularly timing. I even ran up to a consistent 15 psi on the stock compression ratio and over 20 psi with the lowered c/r setup. K's are strong as shit, that's why I love them! On the other hand I have broken a gearbox, but that was more to blame on the welded diff at the time. I now have the k-t50 and still a stock 55 diff (unwelded) and haven't had a single driveline issue in over 4 years running a daily 18 psi!
  9. Btw, I'll check my 7k for those letters as the head is off ;)
  10. No difference between inlet and exhaust.... But, it is quite important that you put them back where you took them from as they wear into the cam lobe they're on. It would be advisable to get them all "refaced" if you can't remember which ones which.
  11. Set of 5x (spare included) 13x7 dishy jelly beans...... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/57393-13s-5-with-semi-slicks-250/page__fromsearch__1 Will do $300 with caps for a local
  12. First corner after the double lanes coming back into town? Saw some cones and stuff on my way out to agfest.
  13. LOL, that's recycling at it best!
  14. Tassie boy! Welcome. ....i can help with the wheels! :P
  15. Tas driveline in margret st could do it for you. Apparently not hythe cheapest guys around though.
  16. Was wondering when we might see an update on this thing. Would love to see some pics of the completed engine bay?
  17. See if it maybe fits over the starter motor
  18. Don't remove the turbo, just don't drive like a dh!
  19. k-w50 is still cable!
  20. Just use your original 3k alternator...keep it how it was!
  21. 55's normally have a square reservoir pbr unit. You could swap to one of those but you also need the matching booster as the bolt orientation is different.... Booster> master.
  22. Hmm, didn't do it with the previous hu? Just leave wire disconnected. Should always earth straight to chassis when you can.
  23. If you earthed it to a wire in the dash it might actually be an illumination wire not an earth. Earth directly to something metal and see if that fixes your issue.
  24. Any metal polisher could do it, doesn't have to be someone who specialises in wheels!
