  1. Pretty sure Leigh's was still Suzuki powered. There was a guy on here who had a K converted Zuk. He had some issues with the carb on angles and rectified it by putting the Suzuki (1.3lt iirc) carby on the 4k. From memory it went straight onto the 4k manifold! You could also always convert to efi!
  2. ....and the school holidays have started! :D
  3. 4k I have is seized. If you're happy to take a little risk on the condition of the head and get it out of my shed its all yours! ;) Are you buying Stu's old charger/efi setup?.... After selling one lot off lol
  4. So I don't think semi slicks were ever really designed for beach use! Lol Maybe if I had an lsd I wouldn't have got slightly bogged in the soft sand!
  5. Couple of motors 4k and 3k, coupe of k40's and some boxes full of random stuff like dizzy's water pumps thermostat housings etc. probably just take done stuff to the tip or metal recyclers if no one wants it.
  6. So I need to clear my shed out. Have a lot of random k/corolla parts. Hoping someone with room to spare might want to come clean me out. Only condition would be if I need something I know was in the collection and its still there I can get it back. Hit me up if you're keen. Cheers, Si.
  7. Ke30's had sumitomo callipers, ke55's had girlock. Straight swap over in terms of calliper bolting on. The calliper end of the brake line is different though so you need to swap those over to... Ke30 is like this =>, ke55 is like this =<. Yes vn rear pads fit ke55 calipers, give you some better pad options ie Bendix and ebc stuff.
  8. I've got 15x9 all round currently, -10. About 10mm clearance off the front strut and the lip is just outside my flare. By the time I dial a little more camber in they've suit just right. Rears could almost come out a little further. I do have a couple of pics of fitment with my old 15x10 0 offset Steelies on my laptop I could upload.
  9. Wouldn't know about 16 vs 19 compatibility, but I can tell you a stripped down 2 19's once to build 1 good one. Its a very fiddling job and you would want to give yourself a goodwhile day to swap stuff over if you could do it.
  10. Not too bad, maybe try some other colours? Ride height looks perfect btw. If you go any low you might really start compromising the ride quality....especially for a daily.
  11. Yeah I made 100rwkw on a dd dyno a few years back on 10 psi, rebuild and a few other mods later just made 102rwkw on 16 psi on a dynologic. Bum-o-metre says between 120-130rwkw
  12. They're 4th and 5th gear indicators. Hook up to the carb and lean off the mix a bit for highway cruising. ;)
  13. Sweet, so its all up and running then? How's the clutch holding up? I know you probably don't need any help (you've built much tougher cars than I have) but if I can provide any assistance re the efi conversion then by all means hit me up. If you put a wolf I'm it I can email maps...but I reckon you're smart enough not get one lol.
  14. Oh, was that the toyotas meet?
  15. Ahh yeah. Think the main problem is a front main seal leak from the gb. After half hour + Of driving it will sporadically slip. When I had a play with dangdang the other night it was slipping a bit under 3rd gear power too. Contemplating slapping a k50 in for a little while so I can rebuild the t50. Will inspect but might need at least a new clutch plate too.
  16. Haha yeah I found your on youtube, as I said there though you sounded very jz'ish. Did you ever expect it would be still k powered!? Hehe
  17. Guy in sa iirc couple years ago. Got sick of the noise.
  18. Yeah there is, that's why I asked abbot. Could just be his gauge telling fibs. I'm using a 3k one in my 55 normal op temp us not far off overheating on the gauge.
  19. That's really just an insurance policy on rotors. Due to high rpm they can sometime flip the belt over and then they don't last long at all, so the second is just a backup. I snapped my single once, half way between hobart and launy at about 1030 at night...sucked the balls.
  20. Ever looked into toyota caldinas? Awd turbo wagon goodness!
  21. I could possibly supply a k40 fork, the pivot ball and maybe even a tob carrier for you to start paying if you want? Got a coupe of spare parts k40's kicking around still. ;)
  22. That looks like a k-t bell. What engine is this to go behind?
  23. 13.7 et iirc. He never had a project thread but I know he did put a little bit in my project thread if you can be bothered trawling back about 5-6 years.
  24. Most hydro setups push the fork to the rear, whereas cables pull it to the front. Not to say it couldn't be done, you'd have to change the fork pivot or lengthen hythe cable so it can do a 180 over a pulley etc.
  25. ...yes they are! Then I'll just need a decent turbz!
