  1. Nah all the same. I got some news ones from Toyota....not sue if you could get them anywhere else.
  2. Use some vice grips on it, then at least you don't have the worry of it slipping out of the pliers.
  3. That's what I've been running for the last 6 or 7 years. 1 step higher in heat range and they have a shorter electrode which is suppose to help the spark being "blown out" under boost. Heard of them being used in anything from a blown 202 to an rb25. In other news I've made some good progress in the last 2 days on my custom cas, so hopefully I won't be too far off freeing up some 315cc injectors for you. I'll text you some pics of the cas.
  4. Get some b7es in it with a 0.8mm gap
  5. All good mate, another day. Does the megasquirt give you a read out of injector duty cycle? You might be pushing the limit of them already. Also what plugs and gap are you running?
  6. What time you going to be heading out? Byron and I might come out for a little drive for something to do. :)
  7. You can borrow mine if you want mate. Drive on the weekend maybe?
  8. Ah ok, figured that's what you were talking about but just never heard it called that. I just blocked mine off with a plate (at brad's suggestion mind you), and the throttle its cracked maybe 2% and re calibrated. It'll idle a little rough at maybe 800 rpm cold and fine warm at about 1100. If its easy enough to setup on the megasquirt then why not give it a try. You still have it hanging off the manifold don't you?
  9. No drama mate, I've found a couple in Hobart on gumtree now pretty cheap so should hopefully have one on the weekend.
  10. I looked into the magna dizzy thing like what Stu has but couldn't find one that looked like it would be easy to setup with the ecu. So what I'm working on at the moment is retro fitting the sensor out of the stanza unit into a stock k dizzy housing. I'm actually going to have a look and probably buy an sr20 cas later in the week to use instead cause I think it might be a lot easier with the side exit plug they have. I can make the stanza one work but it'll mean cutting a big whole out of the side/bottom of the housing. If it all works them you could always have my current electronic unit and run single pulse. At least that will give you ignition control.
  11. What are you running a your input trigger mate? Hope you moved on from coil negative?
  12. Hey mate, do you still have the faulty motors? Wouldn't mine getting my hands on an sr20 cas.
  13. Ahhh yes right you are! Pretty sure they're on the e series vans that have dual 12's on the back.
  14. You could look for some 14" steelies off a Mazda 626 etc. don't think you'll really find any 15's in 4x110.
  15. And while you're at that you might as well spend another $10 and chuck a new set of points in it to! If the felt tab had worn down a bit they might not be opening very far which could also cause your miss.
  16. Damn, I did briefly discuss buying it off him was sorta keen on swapping my turbo motor into it and maybe building another cheap carby turbo setup to throw in mine and sell. Ohh well. Hope he did you a good price?
  17. Did you just buy that off daim?
  18. If you have the square one you can swap it out for a Ke30 master (and booster) to get a bit more clearance.
  19. Nah they have a different bell bolt pattern
  20. Being an r series its probably a w40, if so you can just chuck the existing bell housing etc onto a w50.
  21. Ta22 shifter comes through in the same spot as a Ke30/55 k40/50. The standard tail shaft slots straight into too. That's what I have in mine.
  22. Ahhh yeah you did say that. Is it an ae71/ae86 t50 you have?
  23. What was included in the t50 service kit? And how much was it if you don't mind me asking? Think mine has a slight input seal leak and needs some attention.
