  1. With the gearing in my t50 and turbo 5k I can push over 200. That's about 1000 rpm off the limiter in 5th.
  2. Getting a bit ahead of yourself there I think..... Was this a ke70 k40? because a ke30/55 k40 has a different shifter again.....which also has a different shifter to a ke30/55 k50. You make it sound like every k40/k50 has identical shifters which is very far from the truth!
  3. If they're the later type (ae86/ae71) you could just get one of the trd short shift kits off Ebay.
  4. That's actually a 3k dizzy, could be why you can't get one that fits. ;)
  5. Your friend is very wrong. There are about 4 or 5 different ones including the electronic dizzy ones.
  6. Let me know if you would be interested in selling 1x of those! I need to find a 15" spare for my 55.
  7. Called a 4ku and extremely rare in Aus
  8. Ahhh...thought that might be the case... Your machine guy is obviously comparing this head to a 4k head. What you have is a 5k head! It has been shaved maybe 40-50 thou - you can tell by the recess below the Toyota emblem in the last pic.
  9. Can't see that pic.... 30/55?
  10. Start by getting the wheels balanced again.
  11. Yeah that's the type of disc I'm using. I read on some Nissan forums that some rb & vg engine owners could suffer top in misses caused by timing belt slop through the 360 slot reference trigger. I am only going to use the 4 slot sensor with an extra hole drilled after 1 to give a cylinder 1 dual pulse. I have another custom cas made from a k lower dizzy half welded to the top of a stanza cas. I wired it to my ecu and tested it, worked well but I then discovered the welded housing was miss aligned. Hence I've started again and retro fitted the sr20 sensor into a k housing. I'll be uploading a whole heap of pics of it in the next couple of weeks.
  12. So with your new flywheel sensor setup you're still obviously restricted to a waste spark setup and can't run quad coils? I'm just about to test and fit my new hybrid k/sr20 cas so that I have a dual pulse Cam sensor. When you say your Nissan setup was a bit temperamental were you just using the 4 slots or a combination of the 4 and 360?
  13. Oh btw what are you using for the ecu trigger?
  14. Yeah looks a little lean, throw the plugs in and see how it is (you'll want them if it fixes the miss or not) and if it doesn't sort it out get the new squirters in. 440cc will be plenty big enough. Really happy with the cas, machine guy did a great job, even machined me a cap out of Teflon. Will cost me an old bumper from the shed and a six pack! I'll upload a whole heaps of pics soon but I'll text you a couple in the meantime.
  15. A little further down the pipe should be ok....where you've marked it I would be more worried about clearance on the under side of the floor!
  16. Hey Leigh, have any improvement with the other plugs? Cas is finished now btw, just gotta pic it up from Hobart.
  17. They're what are commonly referred to as the "D dish" pistons which have a volume of about 22cc. The OP has "O dish" pistons which are normally around 6cc.
  18. Crow cams do grinds with whatever specs you want for about $120 if you send them a stock shaft....which should only cost you $20 odd. Maybe put up a wanted add for a stock Cam and request the seller to post it to crow. You could then deal directly with crow via email and Paypal and get them to post it to you.
  19. That's definitely a 5k head, you can tell by the lugs under 1 and 4 spark plug holes. Your pistons also appear to have a bit of a dish in them. Maybe you actually have a 4ku!? A 5k head on a flat top 4k would normally raise the c/r far too high.
  20. Cylinder compression and compression ratio are 2 different things. And you won't really get much more by upping the compression RATIO without that Cam/carb/extractors anyway.
  21. The xe30/55 leaves are relatively flat to start with so I personally don't think there is much to be gained by resetting. You could however get the eyes inverted, and then get you're blocks shaved down by say half to get your desired low. Alternatively just leave the blocks, maybe add an extra leaf and given your location maybe some Camaro rear socks which are apparently a shorter option for these corollas. Again given your location it could be worth looking into t3 stuff for the front. However the t3 coil over kits don't have the best rep because of the sleeve design the have..... https://technotoytuning.com/toyota/te37
  22. You can get the one piece gaskets from Bursons etc. Permaseal em30.
  23. As above....if there was big holes at the front most of the water would take the path of least resistance around #1 from the water pump to the thermostat housing.
  24. Tried a high pressure cleaner? Amazing how well it cleans cloth seats and carpet!
  25. Don't know if you can buy those igniters specifically anymore but you could bypass the internal and just use another igniter off a different car. They're little more than a relay really.
