I can essentially also use the bracket for a bit of up and down alternator position adjustment.

Yep aeroflow one is polished. Yes, I tighten up the inside ones first, then the outer one once the tension is set up top. There is the potential for a little bit of flex in those 2 little plates, so doing them first kind of eliminates the possibility of them being or of square. It was always going to be a temporary thing as I planned on making something better, but at the moment it ain't broke! I should really do it now while the car is off the road.

Finally remembered to take a clearer pic of the bracket.... Alt bolts in the lower right part. The alternator I'm using is an aeroflow 140a

It is a little hard to see, mainly because the alternator is polished and you're seeing some reflection of the bracket. My bracket is as factory. There's some alloy tube slid over the front of the inside bolt (through original bracket) to bring it out to the front of the alt, then another tube to fill the gap to the back of the bracket on the outside bolt... if that makes sense?

Sorry for very late reply. Was just looking for a pic of something else and found this in my phone. As I said, pretty rudimentary.... but it works. The way this works give you a little 'up and down' adjustment as well, so I didn't have any issues with clearance between bracket and water pump outlet. You've probably created a little bit of the interference by slightly raising the alternator when you flipped the original bracket.

I just used the v belt variant. Pretty primitive adapter bracket that took about half an hour to make. It's just 2 standard bottom bolts with tube over them to take up the difference. Not at home at the moment, but I'll try and remember to take you some pics in the next few days. 100a would probably be more than enough if you're not running all the electronic shit I have. Just my coils could (but probably never would) pull 40a.

I'm running a 140a unit from a 308. Aeroflow jobbie

Looked into Flo's?

And if that doesn't work, use a tea towel. Yes, a tea towel 😉

Yes that's a t50. Likely came behind a 3tc in a t18 judging by shifter position. Yes you could just slap on an A series bell housing and throw it behind a 4age

Familiar with Rob Dahm Banjo? They were the kind used on the 4 rotor when it raced the Hoonicorn. 🤔

Interesting re the gearbox! So was it like a 'normal' cable operated k-t50?

Got screwed around for 7 weeks with am Ozzy tyres order. Cancelled that Monday, bought these today... same as what I ordered through Ozzy but different colour. Bridgestone 4 for 3 sale starts on Thursday so just lined up a set of RE003s 😁... tyres on wheels are un-square.

More little things. Before... After.... New straight full chrome bar, polished the Smokey headlights and new indicator/park lens'....

Pics from recent camping trips also. It's becoming a weird mix of sports meets practical. Also swapped out all interior lights for led. Boot is a 4x6 panel. Pics don't do justice of just how bright they are.

I guess wagons have essentially been re branded into SUV's in the last 20 years. There is still some about though. Yeah headlights are stock....

Friggen love this thing... probably why the Rolla still isn't back on the road 😏 Old roof racks served me well for a year. Getting little more serious with what I was putting on them so upgraded to some rhinos. Can now fit the awning, a kayak, and 2 bikes! New shoes ordered for her also. Should be here soon.
