  1. Just saw the diff in the same section. Semi tempted! I've got a t series with mounts done for leaf but won't put it in until it's got discs on it. Probably looking at as much as you're asking just to do the disc conversion. :hmm: Do you run just stock standard leaf pack as the lowering is build into the diff mounts? I've got a pair of inverted eye leaves i was just about to fit but know i can easily swap them for some stock packs with a mate. I noticed you obviously don't stock rear shocks and have some different set of lower mount plates? Is that because the u bolts are too wide for stock ones? Also what would need to be done tail shaft wise? Lastly what does it weigh? I can see you've got scales handy lol. Will punch some digits into e-go and see what I'm looking at freight wise. Cheers, Si
  2. What do you have currently? J pipe? Got any pics?
  3. You could try talking to stu - ''thomas' dad'' i recall speaking to him about some custom stem seals in the motor which for lack of a better description was like an umbrella that slid over the valve stem and stopped oil dribbling down.
  4. This was essentially his projects thread but pics don't seem to work anymore. ... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/8537-7k-into-ke10/
  5. Mine fits pretty well, mind you there's a little bit more room between the rails in a 55 than a 10. Stand by, i reckon i could find you a thread. ..
  6. Some new goodies.....
  7. Mine is a restaurant manager and is rather passionate about wine. We often go out for dinner and I end up feeling like a third wheel joining her and the wine list. :rolls: ....So I know if I can combine a passion of mine and her's in a style we both like it should go down well. Maybe you just need to have a think about what yours likes and combine it in such a way. ;)
  8. I've got an old 55 bonnet in the shed that's not worth selling. :hmm: If I could make something like that (just need to find suitable aged wood) and convert it into a wine rack the missus would love it....and I get to sneak corolla parts inside the house! Watched 'rip and strip' (search "welderup") on 7mate the other day and discussed how we both like rat rods so think this could be a winner. Thanks for the xmas present idea.
  9. I can save you a little bit of effort re brakes as I've been doing a bit of research myself. Might pay to make a phone call to hopper stoppers, they do an 86 which actually comes with hubs and bearings. Will cost you anywhere between $1300-$1800 depending what options you get - stud pattern, braided lines, slotted etc. They use au falcon calipers and rotors. T3 and grp4 also do complete wilwood kits. Both can have fouling issues on the lca when using rca's though, which you can get around. The grp4 kit is a bit cheaper landed at around $1100 + tax (being over $1000) but uses slightly smaller calipers and rotors than the t3 kit which is about $1700 landed. I found the guy selling the hubs and rcas today on gumtree. Seems to bee trying to recoup every cent he spent on the t3 stuff plus maybe a little more. I could be able to help with stubs soon. Will keep you posted.
  10. https://technotoytuning.com/toyota/ae86/racing-billet-front-hubs-ae86 Their alloy ones do come with bearings and caps. Same price as the oem ones they sell but half the weight. Didn't realise your $650 ones were with rotors too. Begs the question though - are stock 86 brakes really going to cut the mustard with 500 horse? Realistically you should be able to get second hand hubs for around $200 then brand new dba etc rotors for around $200-$250. Check the supercheap website, sell dba cheap.
  11. ....just got you freight cost (for my address in Hobart). Us$84 so us$554 or aud$775 with tonight's $1.40 exchange rate. Hubs come with bearings btw.
  12. Bring it up again in the other thread where caibs and I asked for specifics! Sorry.... I bought the last set of shockworks with stubs on Monday, got them yesterday. T3 alloy hubs are $380 us. And new rca's are $90 us. Even freighted it'll probably be less than your talking above.
  13. Pics say 1000 words!
  14. Is that an r33 gtr front bar on the magna? Lol
  15. Yeah pretty sure p's restrictions haven't hit us yet. Might want to double check with rta first though.
  16. Just use the ta22 steering arms on ke20 lcas. Gearbox end of the 22 wl shaft will fit a k40 but depends on length, at a guess it might be a little bit too long.
  17. Oh ok thanks mate. So the commo mc bolts straight up to the offset bolts for a square reservoir 55 mc?
  18. Hey what booster and mc are you running Matt? What size bore?
  19. Seen a couple of genuine one's race in Targa Tasmania over the years!
  20. Maybe just spinning the silicone on the end 180 degrees would make a bit of difference?
  21. Man that helps heaps. So I've just been crunching some numbers: So for your car, your tyres are wider than your wheels and that's what you took the clearance off so I'll work with that. 195/2 (for 0 offset) = 97.5mm. + the 26mm of clearance means you have 123.5mm from the mounting face of the hub to the locking ring of the coilover. Assuming I set base height the same as yours - my wheels are 9" or 225mm, + about 20mm for the bead at each side so let's just say a 245mm tyre. Half that -10 (for offset) = 112.5mm from the mounting face of my wheels to the outside of the theoretical 245 tyre. So if my math it's correct I should have 11mm of clearance at the same base height you have. Is there anything I'm missing? For anybody else who wants to weigh in I'm looking at buying the same shockworks coilovers as caibs hence why I'm basing my calcs off his car.
  22. How much clearance do you have off the struts with those now mate? Pics of coilovers?
  23. Do it in word and then copy/paste here. ... can't loose it then ;)
  24. What a multi coloured pos! :P
  25. Was called a roadpacer. The 13b had exactly the same horsepower of the 202 but half the torque.... and twice the rev range lol. While on the subject of 13b's fitted to strange vehicles - this is a Mazda parkway....
