  1. Fat tyres on the rear 10" hot wires and my custom made sticker for the back haha :P
  2. can't beet the old hot wires, where hard to come by but we got them. 10" rims on the back and 8" on the front. Been fully macheined, polished and repainted
  3. The reason the bumpers, grill and headlight surrounds are all colour coded is because thats the way they come out. This model is the standard workmans commercial model and these plastic headlight surrounds and grill are very rare and hard to come by and if you do come by them they are usualy stuffed. Also if we got the front one chromed we would of had to get the rear ones done as well and the chromers down here in tassie are really dear, would be close to a grand for them to be done. So we decided to be different and keep it the way it was (original) instead of changing it to chrome like all the other ones getting around. As for the engine bay, still finishing it of, yet to have chrome rocker covers, wiring covered up, custom made alumminium washer bottles and the writing on the engine cover has to be painted silver. Thanks for the comments guys, hopefuly my ke70 turns out as good  :y:
  4. Far out they are rare then, damm :bash:
  5. My old man did the exact same conversion but to a wb panel van, the only thing he had to change where the extractors. They had to be re shaped to clear the rails, so you need a bit of room or you will have to start cutting stuff. Does it come with the computer and wiring harnes? if it does then you still need to get a conversion kit (if they make one for it) which contains engine mounts and the rest of the electricals you need to complete the conversion. If they don't make a conversion kit for it that means you will have to fabricate engine mounts and possibly other things to make it fit. Sounds like alot of work. Hope that helps  Heres a link to what the engine looks like sitting in the van. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/51736-1980-holden-wb-panel-van/
  6. Hey guys, i have just purchased a quadlight front and i need a beaver panel badly. Could anyone help me out with one or know someone who has got one for sale? Cheers
  7. Cheers buddy
  8. Home form the paint shop, fabricating the floor shift, putting her back together and interior going in.
  9. This is the same painter that will be painting my ke70, one of dads good mates
  10. Thought i would chuck up the old mans build. He has had this car for over 30 years now, was used to tow his supersedan around, as a daily driver and as a work hourse. So he decided it was time to give her a freshen up before she wasted away after all these years. Took just over a year to finish but came up sweet. He decided to throw a v6 in it so he could drive it reguarly and be a nice comfortable car but then it got out of hand and it was turned into a toy car that rarely comes out of the shed. He also had the idea of it being cheap to run but that idea went down the drain when he had thoughts of supercharging it like his other car :rolls: So he went out an brought a Holden VS ute that was a repairable write off and took the engine, gearbox and the computer and heaps of other bits out of it to put in the van. To fit the engine he orded an engine conversion kit for a WB to fit a v6 and it went in pretty easy. He also used the seats out of the VS instead of running the old bench seat and just got them recovered in the original vinyl and pattern. You just can't get the boy out of the man :no2: So here it is, hope you all like it
  11. I pulled my front end out so we could paint the engine bay easier and get right underneth the rails. The whole front end had seen better days in the looks department so i decided to use my mates sand blaster to clean them up nicely. i then took them home put some primer on them a gave them a coat of gloss black which looks overrated :y: Also decided to do a custom coil :P and clean up my dash
  12. A few more pics, boot with old sealer removed and sanded back befor primer
  13. Got to work on the boot the other day. I scraped all the old shitty seam sealer off and resealed it all nicely. I also took all the vinyl of the insides of the rear guards and removed all of the fluff that it left behinde which took a while and got it all sanded down ready for primer. I then got to work with the spray gun for the first time putting on a coat of primer on after dad showing me how to do it. After that dad then put a coat of semi gloss black on it just to tidy it up before it all gets boxed in with some mdf covered with carpet for the floor and vinyl on the sides :y: The guards also had some more work done to them. finished of shaping them then bogged, still have to have a few bits and peices done to them but very happy with them
  14. Thanks Hayden, will do
  15. Haha yeah paint yours, will look sick. Na my dad took them off with this tool and they are all still perfect, like new apart from one of the rear chrome strips that sit along the top of the doors got bent hard so we got a new one from the wreckers. As for the door handles and locks all like new so its all going back on
  16. Yeah i just got straight violet mixed up to start with which was a standard base colour but it was a little bit to bright, so i ended up going back to the paint shop 3 times after that to get it tinted down to the exact colour i wanted. I got the idea of painting it purple off a model car i had :D and they matched it from that. Ended up pretty much exactly the same coulour as it in the end. The headlights i have orded for it are the quadlights with the little chrome strip around the headlight surrounds and along the top of the grille, so theres not alot of chrome on it really :)
  17. The primer went on in the engine bay today, then sanded and hit with a few coats of purple in our makeshift oven. Looking shmicko thanks to Dad, verry happy with the finish
  18. Cheers  , yeah ive been working on it lot after school because it needs to come out of dads mates shed asap because he wants to put his new car in there, so as soon as the engine bay and boot are painted it will come out and go to the painters then back home
  19. Got to work scraping of all the old crappy sealer that toyota have just slapped on :no2: ready to sand, reseal and paint, not that your going to see it because it will all be boxed in but why not do a propper job while its all apart :y:
  20. Went over to work on it today after school to give her a few finishing touches before she's painted and put a wheel under it to see what it would look like
