this is the front engine dragster i got done on my arm, looks shitty in the photo as it was only 3 days old and i spilt crc on it and it when all yukky, but it f@$kin heeled up really sweet i will get some better photos later on

so i guess your trying to say i think i know everything? i never said that and i did say the 500 was possible but pushing a full weight cortina, to the 9 was gonna be the difficult part. And once again if I'm wrong and if it runs a 9 i will gladly say i was wrong. As for fritzz's el i do know of this car as i have seen it on the boosted forums before, so yeah i guess i have seen a standard 4l make 630hp. yeah u can run a radials to high mph and quick ets, i think th fastest radial car in the world does 6.80's, but most of these cars have a rear end setups and 1/2 chassis' even 3/4' to help cope with lose of traction, even the corolla runs a little 2 link setup. the other thing is if u watch a lot of these radial tyred cars leave the line, the use very little to no boost and low rpm other wise they go up in smoke or in the case of a car with no wheelie bars they stand up on the bumper. although i don't think traction is going to be a problem for you. i would really love to see u suceed and push this thing to 9, and u could do it. but i think its gonna take lots of r+d and less wieght best of luck sir :y:

in all the years i have been following and owning sohc 4litre falcons, i have seen 2 make over 500rwhp, both full built motors, and both using a lot more then 20psi, i would love to see this 630hp with the standard el 4l, as for bigger rods in the 4 litre being bigger they are but u will bend one before u bend the ba conrods, and the typhoon does not even count, they stronger everything inside those motors. I'm not saying to u it can't be done, and i think 500 is well possible when u have a good tuner and all the other good bolt on bits, but the 9sec pass u will be pushing in street trim, if u look at for instance the ke20 with the 2j, that thing weighs in the region of 2600pounds or 1180 odd kg, and it takes a little over 1000hp to push it to a 8.0 a 170 mph, now by the time you have a full andra tech 6 point cage and all the other bits u need, you are gonna be real close to wieghing the same if not more already being a bigger car, and making half the horse power how do propose to push this thing to a 9 second pass, even though the radials get sticky they will still wheelspin on big rpm launches, i bid u good luck sir, and when and if it happens i will gladly say i was wrong, but until then this thing may run a 10.90 on a radial in street trim with 500

500rwhp on a stock 4l, using a bbm? i hope u don't plan on doing anymore then one 9sec pass, coz it will have to be on 4billion psi, i think 500hp could be done, but 9's on pulp and a street tyre?

i did do a couple of pictures when we went up on saturday but in all honesty nothing had been done. but apparently the got 4 cars out of the shop last week and reckon all the steel work will be done when we go up next saturday the pics aren't much and ignore the big front gaurd. i will definately head up and get some better ones on saturday before heading to willowbank for the pro 10.5 meeting

thanks boys. gav i ended up using ke70 springs, and i have done a shit load of rust repairs and smoothing out body dints so it is coming along. i am currently in mackay on a visit to a friend and boy do i like this place, there is a bullshit amount of work up here for boilermakers so i might just come back up and work in the mining industry for a few years

well not much has happened lately apart from the rear end suspension has been done and the front end is all sorted and ready for a motor. need to get the coilovers rebuilt and a few other bits and pieces. but i had recently had a change in lifestyle and have moved back to my dads where the car is kept so i hope after my holidays next week it will really come alive.

wow why the negativity? just coz he is at the track doesnt mean he would drop the clutch at stupid rpm and brake his diff. i don't understand how you can assume how he is going to drive the car?
