We have been lacking in events over in the western suburbs of late, dfunct has been scouting around a bit for suitable destinations of late. Whats everyone think? Lets get something off the ground! JP.

Hello everyone... As the thread title says, its time to get to organising our own Ocean Rd run once more. Australia day long weekend, January 26th to 28th (Sat to Mon). So heres the most up to date list I have... PM me or Call me on (03)53670470 of 0400843198 to be put on the list or confirm your coming (or both) and I will update itr as soon as I can! Victoria: TheNOBBLER + One(?) Coming deri2k3 Cruising Saturday? dfunkt + Katie Coming Pozman Coming kickn5k + One(?)Coming sheqel Coming but hasnt told me yet!!!! pixelated_goat + One Coming webers4x48 + One(?) Coming blacktopspirit (?) 78_7KRolla (Meeting up on sunday?) KE10GIRL hy-rolla butty Coming butty's mate + One (can't remeber his name!) Coming Clown (Possibly) GZE_82 (Cruising?) South Aus: Raven + One(?)Coming nawty4 Queensland: (Yep, you read it right!) Teddy Coming So thats 16 Comfirmed so far with 4 still not having got back to me and 3 just cruising. Looking very good indead. I will hopefully be getting hold of the TCCAV soon to let them know whats going on (I missed the meeting) and we will go from there! OK, here are my bank details... I figured they would get lost inthe thread so I would put them here with the important messages. My Bank details... Account name: J P Saleta Account No: 116144809 BSB: 633-000 If you deposit monet into the account please put your screen name as the title of the transfer. JP I havent got alot of details for you to gander at at the moment, what I do have is the ideas that were put forward from our run in January this year. Hopefully these ideas are still valid and that we can throw quite a few more into the mix! Ok, after our forst run it was decided first and foremost that to accomodate the South Assie members that make the run the venue would have to change. Not that Apollo Bay wasnt a bad spot, we had a ball and would happily head back there again. The problem was the distance travelled by the SA group, they had a killer of a 12 or so hour trip to make whereas the Vic crue had only a few hours on there bums. Therefore, the idea was put forward that we head to Portland for the next run. Its a nice town, plenty to do and its almost smack in the middle of the Vic and SA Ocean Rd trip. Plus, it would make a better trip for us all. More people! We had a nice small group for the first run, this was intentional as things would have gotten out of hand if we had 30 plus people and we had no idea what we were doing! Members from The TCCAV, Toymods and Twincam have all stated there interest in the run, I have personally been on runs with or at least met most of the interested parties and have no problems with them... But thats me and I'm not everyone. Numbers and who can/cannot make the run will be discussed I'm sure! Will leave it at that for now. For the moment thats probably enough info to process/discuss... let alone my spelling! I will be properly looking into accomodation in the near future provided the location is still all good. Mush more to talk about but its late and I just wated to get the ball rolling! SO lets get cracking! JP.

Haha, thats because I'm not running around in my Rolla anymore! Spotted: ae92 hatch, dumped with rims and "drift style" exhaust and DARK DARK tint driving down Ballarat rd. Bright green ke3x rolla with big (ugly) chromies and a big sticker on the back reading "flying snot"! haha, was a pisser! No idea what what it was running. Thats it from me!

^^^^ Hahahaha, Pisser! Bar the cost of leather and the pain in the ass it is to work with.... well, lets just forget leather. If you want something easy to keep clean go a nice vinyl, spray and wipe works a treat when its really grubby and turps is great for a wipe over (I'm a trimmer and we use it on everything from show cars to shitters!). Cloth etc looks good for a while, as with anything it all depends on how you look after it. And some of the new materials are pretty sweet. My pick with a blue would be a nice off white or creamy vinyl either done in the standard pattern or something with a bit of a custom touch. either that or Black as everyone has said, but don't put bight blue inserts or something like that, it looks cheap! Saving that, hit the wreckers and find some nice stock seats to swap in, much cheaper and easier to do. Trimming your seats wont be cheap!

Mmmmm, this sounds like fun! WOuld be good to hit the road for another GOR run to see how others organise it! Just wondering who this event is run through? Anyway, will have to see how I go as I don't have my own transport as yet! I have two cars and there both off the road! Will post up a yay or nay when I know.
-
Agreed... After looking into getting my auto in the VS rebuilt I wish I had just taken out a loan and bought something of the like! The look pretty sweet! On the other hand, I'm chasing a '55/57 chev... much cooler (and slower, a fuel gussler and harder to get parts...). Would still have a Chevy anyday! hehe Well, my spots. My old mates ke50 Corolla in Mildura. Its a bloody Ugly thing but it has its good points... namely the turbo'd k motor! Here the database link... Fugly Rolla The last pick says with unlimited boost... thats because the wastegate died so they pulled it off and blocked the hole! I couldnt believe it when he told me so I went for a run... and for a k motor it goes bloody hard! revving it to 5600 it was making 14psi and wanted more, but where not quite that silly! On the dyno it made a lazy 86rwkw! NICE! Again, only revving it to 5600 or there abouts. Sadly, my phone was dead at the time so I didnt get any more to date pics... I had to try and find the database link to you didnt think I was pissin in the wind! Hes looking to get rid of it sometime soonish and I'm first in line... would go sweet in a nice kexx coupe! Jarrad Will hopefully get some more spotted pics up once I'm back from Holidays!

Thats still not a bad price... Considering what you ordered. If you buy a "sports" bush pack for a commodore your up for about $350-$400 and your not getting alot more in it. I did my ke55 coupe about 5 years back and I was stung just over $300 then. Most likely because it was in Mildura, you tend to have to pay what they want in small towns! Jarrad
-
And as you pointed out today chief, a toymods member was behind the wheel! don't have any spoto's from Melb at the moment but I have a few from elsewhere! VERY VERY clean ke55 sedan running around Halls gap, stock everything bar the late model driver! Whilst being towed to Ararat ( bloody auto has died in the commo... then they gave me another vs hire car and thats now running on 4 cyls and having lovely gas backfires!) we were overtaken by a cream ke17(ish) wagon! Havent seen one before but it was a right little rocket! Globe 5 spokers and a nice raspy note as it went by. Last but not least... Just outa Stawel there was a ke3x bushy on a farm getting more opposite lock than I have seen out of a little rolla! We had to stop to take a look it was that good! Jarrad
-
Hey there Deri, I'm suprised noone has said g'dayyet! I have been away (still am, just got to mildura after having to get my car towed from halls gap to melb and get a hire car for the rest of my trip!) so I havent been on to give you a greeting! Well, here goes... Welcome to the club... now back date that almost 2 years and were set! Theres a fair few of us from the northers burbs but I'm not sure how many are active in the Vic/Melb section. Personally I'm from Dear Park over in the west but there are a fair few over on the peninsula and I know that cam (MRMOPARMAN) is from up north. Anyway, hope we hear more of you in the Vic section! Jarrad
