Have started slowly but progressivly working towards a Nifty KE70. Started dismanteling the interior a few weeks back and slowly unbolting bits and pieces. Took the engine and gearbox out today.

If I put a 4AGZE in my KE70 and get it mod plated, am I able to drive it on my p's? Because it'd put out a trifle bit more power than the original 4KC. Anyone know? Cheers Cody.

So see if he has a AE71 tailshaft?

Yeah that's what I was thinking also, I'll search around for a known brand one when I'm up to that stage. Any shifters you know of?

I'm going to do the same thing. Mine was a 1984 Slanty and a mate sold me his parts for the Flat Front conversion. It should be fairly straight forward because they were already mounted on his Slanty. We had to pull them off again. I'm putting these Flat Front parts on (majority of my front end was buggered): F.F panels, F.F bonnet, stone tray, the a/c strip thing, F.F grill and headlights and a bumper. Cheers Cody.

Can you put one of the AE86 T50 short shift kits off eBay into an AE71 T50?

I found one that will come with an AE71 gearbox crossmember, so maybe it's an AE71 T50... He wants $150.

I'd just go all black, probably gloss so it shines up a bit.

It's pretty much all disconnected now, just have to disconnect the tailshaft, crossmembers and about 3 wires.

Well I'm not putting it back in this car, a mate it taking it to put in his car. So easier to disconnect the box?

I'm going to pull My 4K out of my KE70 and was wondering if it's fairly simple to pull it out with the gearbox attatched? Or should I just un-attatch it? Cheers Cody.
