Now iv had sit down an a good had long think of what i want an would now love to hear your educated tips/help. I will have some time an I have a time limit (my last project is on almost 3 years) I am after a streeter that i can flog the poop out of on the track an easily drive it home an park it or drive to work or school. So the only really thing I'm set on is a sedan, 4age an a small turbo (t25/t28? ). Now i have done a read up of the 4age's to an extent but I'm still confused of what engine i want all this talk of small port big port? Also iv also read about putting s13 suspension? parts what for ? anyways cheers for reading i hope for a response!

BUT ITS SOOOO NEAT! an idm having a project car really how hard is it to go from auto to man?

but i have found the most Overrated ke70 its auto owned all its life but a mature woman an a steal for 1.5k (I'm offering 1k an see how i go) all i need to do now is sell the bloody GP exa :S

as stated I'm looking at one on saturday i know rust is the killer so where is it i should be looking at it? also anything else that comes to mind would be Overrated. also iv had a quick look but a auto to manual conversion is a fairly easy process yes? P.S.i was on here a while back looking at ae's since there out of my range iv decided the ke is my best option atm cheers!

I'm taking seabiscuits advice and getting a ke70 or if I'm lucky ae71 only for two reasons there are lot cheaper option for a 20 year old p plater. insurance is 1k cheaper and i think they look a lot tuffer then the ae's tbh anyways i will keep you guys posted just waiting for tax to come in :D

hahah sloth isnt that the way with all cars? lol and i was going to go down the ke70 path but there 4k+ for a decent car iv seen thats without rust plus i see the ae86 becoming somewhat of a cult in years time sure there popular now but give it 20 years there will be little gems in a life of hybrids and electrics :) its just not a project its a investment :)

ah well the government are the fun police i might just do a ground up rebuild iv found a shell all it needs is a paint engine an gearbox and its only 2 k rust free! ill keep u guys posted :D

infy or anyone woudnt the 16v head just swap with a 20v one? thats what i can do to my ca16 to a ca18det head. also thinking about dropping in some 4agze pistons while the engine will be out cheers!

just popping in again iv been poking around and for the carbie vs efi ill go efi 4age silvertop does anyone know if that will be a hassle with rego and such cause all I'm doing is replacing the 16v with a 20v. and in saying that would fitting the 4agze supercharger to a silver top be difficult? (if I'm wrong please tell me I'm new to toyotas!!!) now I'm also thinking about gearboxes will survive my thrashing of drifting and killing hondas. diffs iv heard hilux's are almost if not as strong as the famous 9 inch. reason why I'm asking all this now before iv even got the car is so i can get parts now. cheers!!! Back with a little more info under my arm well iv decided to sick with what ever is in the car so a carbie set up will be the go anyone think i should/shouldnt do this? the basic aim I'm after is a street car that i can take to the track have some fun and go home.

I havent go one yet ill be looking next year just gearing up for it now. I'm not so new to modding car iv got a 1987 nissan exa that iv been working on the past year (its almost on the road again!!!) but i know my way round a car. but what I'm after is something thats got enough balls to keep up with the lower powered turbo'd cars (only reason why is because I'm on my p's and turbo is a no go for me other wise id shove a 13b tt in there asap!)
