  1. Type ke20 fender into the us eBay.com Has anyone got them? Do they fit ok? Got a quote of $250 shipping to qld. A bulk buy might be more economical? Anyone interested?
  2. The camry one looked a bit big.. I found an EK civic radiator is about right.. ordered a new 2 core alloy one with fan and shroud. (for only slightly more than the wrecker wanted for the old one without fans etc..)
  3. Cheers I'll have a look
  4. Hi all Trying to figure out what to use for a radiator on my project. Firstly, would the original radiator be able to handle the cooling requirements of a smallport 4age? secondly is there a radiator say of something cheap (excel, civic etc) that will do the job, and possibly have inlet and outlet on the rhs. I have been looking at threads on here but can't find where anyone says which rad they used. Cheers :)
  5. Update.. I have got the wiring harness, fuel rail etc in and connected. I am fairly happy with the layout, only a few things i would do different next time.. The harness would look better.. meh. Mounted the coil on a piece of angle on the valley cover bolt holes. Thinking I should earth it??
  6. ok the slave cylinder is broken. where it mounts to the bellhousing. ugh. i'll find another slave and try it.. must have cracked it whilst mounting engine :(
  7. thanks ^ i have adjusted as far as it will go and bled it. I might bleed it again to check. I may also be able to re-do the lever system i made to change from cable to hydro.. make it longer therefore creating more travel. My issue is, that i can't see me getting the extra distance that i need to. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/60867-another-4age-ke20/page__p__632847#entry632847 ^ heres my build so far. there is a small amount of slop in the keyway? that connects the clutch pedal to the spindle, but again it is minute in comparison to the amount of travel i need to gain.
  8. So I have installed a 4age with jdm t40 bellhousing & ta22 t50 into my ke20. I have installed the clutch master from ta22, and the slave cylinder from the original 4age fwd box. it is sort of working in so much that i push the pedal and the slave cylinder moves.. but not enough.. it needs to travel at least double the amount it is currently travelling to disengage clutch properly. looking at the adm ta22 slave cylinder it is smaller in length to the fwd one i have used, so i am assuming (because i have never really worked on hydro clutch before) that my master cylinder is too small to push the slave cylinder far enough. Is that likely? I really would like to just replace the slave cylinder and fix the problem, but i don't know if it will. Please tell me there is a way to make this work without replacing the ta22 master?? or is there something i am missing? please help
  9. Engine is in! Thanks to Jordan for the engine and gearbox mounts! they were pretty much perfect.. everything worked as planned. The TA22 celica gearbox slid onto the original tailshaft, the shifter came thru the original hole in the floor. just perfect. Still have wiring, clutch master, fuel lines/pump etc, to do but the initial test drive is within sight!
  10. Ok so I have pulled the t50 from celica, fitted it to the bellhousing from 4ac, cleaned it all and fitted it to engine. Had some issues with the clutch fork and throwout bearing. I ended up with the fork and bearing from the celica and the slave cylinder from fwd box. I had to cut the end off the fork and weld a new end on. It appears to work, but i guess i wont be sure until its test day.
  11. So I have the ae92 heater outlet which i need to change. My question is about the two temperature sensors? in the heater outlet.. What are they for? ie one controls the radiator fan one does the ecu.. i dunno. why are there 2? can i remove one? pinched a link to photo below.. one green plug one brown. I would be eternally grateful if some guru could tell me: brown= x green= y engine will run fine without x... thanks in advance! http://i260.photobuc...ear_oultets.jpg running standard ecu and stripped harness.
  12. am i right that the original rev limiter was 7700?
  13. ok so maybe a weird question.. I am wanting to know how far a standard 4age will actually rev to in standard form with all rev limiters disconnected. I am wondering if it will actually reach its blow up point or not for tuning purposes. EDIT: AE92 smallport original rev limiter 7800 i think from hours of looking yesterday. what is usually its first problem? valve springs/bottom end?
  14. I connected all the cables and fuel pump up to engine and..... click for video..
  15. Picked up a T40 from a 4ac rwd for the bellhousing, and a ta22 celica with t50 for the box and the hydraulic clutch. From my research it appears i might be able to use the original tailshaft without mods.... until i destroy the diff ;)
  16. So have been busy at work, have been collecting the parts i needed. Finally got a little bit of time, and pulled the intake manifold to bits, and have cut the throttle body mount and swapped to the other end.
  17. from memory if it has bolts on the back it is a baby borg warner and if not it is a jap diff.. ke20 is also narrower than pretty much anything else..
  18. pull the lid off and have a look/take a photo.
  19. i assume i can't run the standard computer even if i keep boost down?
  20. I think in qld i can engineer it with a turbo.. i have to have a chat to a mate of a mate who happens to be a mod plate engineer dude. I was going to get it going on the standard computer (before i got the turbo idea) It is a n/a smallport block, and tbh i don't really know what is inside it. I was told it had forged internals and all balanced and was a 'freak' of an engine. I don't really know if i believe it, i'll be happy if its just a good standard runner. If they went to the trouble of forged pistons, is it likely they bumped up the compression ratio while they were at it?
  21. oh oops. td04.. and u could be right ^ :)
  22. 4age in ke20 http://www.rollaclub...ther-4age-ke20/ i'm going to have to do exhaust manifold anyway.. I am going to want the turbo eventually. I have oil lines on the block (ae92 oil cooler) If i do it now i can allow for piping etc when i do engine mounts etc.. On the downside i have never done my own conversion before, will the turbo make it a real nightmare? will i ever finish it lol? Oh I forgot to mention i have a genuine td05 13g in perfect condition and i can buy a top mount rwd manifold for $140...
  23. nice score.. i'd leave the mud flaps and go rally style ;) 14's? is that standard size for that model, or were they still 13's? i'd love to see something old school offset on it with fat treads and pumped guards..lol if you are concerned about steering geometry, only lower it a bit. If you truly want it lower than that get smaller tyres ;) you get better gear ratios as an added bonus with that too :D.
  24. i like hotwires and globes.. but pretty much everyone else hates them.. shrugs.. idk makes them cheaper to source ;)
  25. just read the whole thing.. well most of it.. I definately looked at all the pictures ;) i hope mine doesnt take this long.. I am trying to not be a perfectionist though, which i normally am.
