short answer is yes. long answer is if is from a series 1 going into a series 2 or vice'a'versa, you will need the mounting brackets for the corresponding front bar, doable but a pain if you don't have the right parts
-
its not to shabby since the current exhaust is the same press bend one that was on the car when it was n/a

narvas plus 120, blue plus 90, artic plus 50, and intense are all adr approved. I'm currently using artic plus 50 in the seca and the excel infinitly brigther and whiter, also make sure you get the parking lights as well

ok, so the seca is home picture will follow later tonight or tomorrow. couple of little issues :- 1st: the current tacho wont ever work with the haltech, not a big deal, apparently a gze tacho swapped into the cluster should sort the issue 2nd: cold start issues, which can be sorted with a new set of injectors, and a retune (+ bigger fuel pump, new exhaust and increase in boost) will sort fix this issue but other than that its making 118kw @ 6750 on 7psi which isnt to shabby in my books

MYSTIK replied to ke70 xx's topic in SA / Adelaide
was more my thinking as well -
"ahem" i officailly drove the seca for the first time in 2012 today it was only around the block but my god is it smooth to drive, even smoother then when it had the n/a motor in it should be getting it back next friday, as there is a few loose ends to fix, ie. tacho, indicators small stuff

hmmm 4 weeks on and i finally found a ca18det exhaust housing for the turbo, so it should be back together and hopefully being tuned to suit new housing ;) so I'm maybe looking at a couple of weeks to a month at the most, before i get to take it for its first cruise of fury :ninja:
-
well its in pieces again, turbo decided it didnt like itself and started pissing smoke out while it was idling due to the cheap chinese internals (not my words, the place where I'm having rebuild said this) destroying the seals, so now its getting a rebuild with new genuine garrett shaft, turbines etc etc and slightly smaller exhaust housing so it will come on boost earlier. so hopefully be back together tomorrow and possibly running and the tune continued during the next week. on the a good note though it was tuning beautifully though until this set back
-
well the turbo has a smoking problem, so it no been pulled off and sent away hopefully it is just an undersized non genuine seal that caused the problems, also going to look at changing the rear housing from a 0.64 to a 0.48 for better response as its going to be a mostly street driven in the near future. will know much more tomorrow

Big Port 4Age Head On Small Port 4Agze Bottom End??
MYSTIK replied to 4age_ae_86's topic in AExx Corolla Discussion
its been done many times before. -
ok so i didnt have to mod a GE dizzy, just pulled the guts out of one and put it into the GZE CAS, same same really, last i heard on friday was the real tuning was about to begin. one bad thing though i was told there is a small amount of oil smoke at idle, so me thinks the oil seals in the turbo may be on the way out :| but its not critical at the moment, so i will either be rebuilding or going to a t28 at a later date. also some more new parts lobbed at my place yesterday in the form of the adjustable coilovers. will let pics do the talking slime green anyone? camber tops front back then really need to purchase some polyurethane bushes and get them installed at the same time. :P

firing order should be 1 3 4 2. is the 24 tooth wheel in good condition ie all the teeth proper length, none chewed away? we had the similar sort of problem with the CAS of my gze, only the the firing order was out by 60 degrees due to a couple of the teeth being chewed away. so the ecu was only reading 22 of the 24 teeth. also using a PS500 from haltech. there is a diagnostic tool on the haltech, which might shed some light on your problem, i do believe it is in one of the drop down menus.

i really hate staff who call up and say "I'm not coming in tonight as i havent slept today and i have to much on my plate at home" well ʞ©$ɟ me lets all call in and say I'm not working as i have to much on my plate at home. what i don't get is I'm able to work my 40 hrs I'm paid to be at work(plus another 5 to 10 I'm not paid for) plus be on call, plus deal with my problems at home, plus deal bosses above me who want better results out of the store so now I'm expected to work there ʞ©$ɟing shift plus work the majority of my own tomorrow, as they wont pay overtime and the rest of my staff are maxed out on hours, well they can get mcfarked. the sealer is i get a day in lieu, yeah right I'm owed atleast 3 days from the christmas/new year break, plus 1 for and extra shift i covered a couple of weeks ago, plus tonight shift makes 4. Fark knows when ill get them off.

actually physically remove or just fill with body filler? ? those pics are of ae9x's  second pic is my own seca with a fxgt front bar, first pic is a random pic i found from japan :P
-
another question what about the hip line that the hatch has? gonna look like ass if you don't remove it from the rest of the body as the seca doesnt have this line  i say just change the front bar to something a little different like a sprinter or fxgt one sprinter bar fxgt bar
-
yeah still planing on coming down to have a gander :y:

not finished, not tuned, but using someone else's CAS to get it tuned atm, the ECU decided it would only read 22 of the 24 teeth in the CAS, but in saying that i need a new CAS, as the 2 missing teeth are nubs  so I'm in the market for another GZE CAS, or i may have to resort to modding a GE dizzy.
