Ae82 Corolla Seca Sames As Others For Suspension?
Twincam16seca replied to narchi's topic in AExx Corolla Discussion
These are more than what you paid for the car but hey i think they're ok, http://www.ebay.com....6.c0.m270.l1313 I got the ae86 set for my ae71, you can get what ever spring rate you want too! Ae86 suspension won't bolt up to ae82, as the ae82 is front wheel drive. I also have an AE82 seca twincam and all i have done is replace the shocks with KYB's but i couldn't get the "sports" type, also at that stage I didn't look into interchangeable parts from later models such as AE92/93/101/111. The AE101/111 had super strut suspension and bigger/better brakes so there are plenty of options! hope this helped a bit. also try www.ae82.net www.toymods.com -
thanks mate, finally some one has answered! I'm looking for an ae86 rwd bigport inlet manifold to put in place of the original as I'm going to run the sc14 with front mount jza70 stock cooler, and run a bov (plumb back, not wanky vented (trying to make it easier for engineering)).

Hi, I'm wondering (I may sound stupid) if there is such a 4agze that has the big port head but no T-VIS? The 4agze I'm looking at is in need of a full rebuild and its a big port head with CAS/DLI, what ever you want to call it, but has no T-VIS plate and the studs that the manifold go onto are not long enough to accommodate a T-VIS plate. So would this also help identifying what model car this came out of? I'm hoping its a late AE92 GT-Z levin... I know the AE101 had the small port head, but this is definitely a big port with no T-VIS. Thanks for the input!

Yeah i know that, i would use a blow off valve so i can run the TB after sc, i actually think it would be easier to do it more custom than try to incorporate an sc 14 into the stock set up, i have thought the ae86 rwd big port manifold would be the easiest way to go if going with tb after sc. I thought the itbs would give better throttle response?

so no one can help me with this at all??? I have done a bit of a search and found some adaptor plates but most of the questions still stand!
-
There shouldn't be any problems with the exhaust as it would be very much the same as a 4age set up, I haven't been under a starlet so can't say for sure. If its the 4efe motor I would assume it would bolt up to a 4a gearbox? if anyone can clarify that would be good. you would need the complete wiring loom and ECU, I assume you would know that! Or you could opt for 4afe from an ae92?
-
Hi all! I Have been thinking about my RWD (AE71) 4agze rebuild, its basically the engine with no loom, no coils, no alternator. It is a big port to my disappointment but is from an ae92 so has oil squirter's and no TVIS. I have an sc14 in great condition and as we know the stock inlet manifold for ZE is shite, so... 1) I was wondering if I could use BT or ST ITB's? I don't know how they would match up or if it would be any more beneficial, throttle response wise, than a rwd big port manifold. obviously they would need a custom plenum, but 2) what about the runners from the TB to the head port? would they need to be re-shaped from the circular TB shape to the oval port shape? I want the best throttle response I can get as I have a JZA70 stock inter cooler which is bigger, so anything to help cut the "lag" down would be good! All the help I get on here is always appreciated! any other handy hints or ideas about RWD 4agze's are welcomed. Jason

what do the s15 seats sit like in the ae71? I have Tenzo racing reclining buckets on ke70 rails and they sit too high and I'm not sure how to get them lower? PM me with some pics or something would be cool!

Thanks for all the wise words and bits of info! the motor is going in my AE71, sorry for not specifying that at the start and leaving you all wondering...my bad! Keep the conversation going though, I'm really interested in reading what all your thoughts are. Jason

Ke70dave that would be great if you could pass that on, i have been researching and trying my head at the compressor maps etc. I do realise that the sc is for low end power and turbo up top, so I guess I need to figure out when the sc is reaching its limit so the turbo is taking over for top end power.
-
Hi all, I have been thinking of twin charging my 4AGZE, as it is I haven't installed the engine or the sc14 onto the motor as its in need of a full rebuild plus some! Just keeping it simple I was thinking of having the induction start coming into the sc14 pass through a wide narrow FMI into the turbo, out the turbo through another wide narrow FMI of the same spec then into the TB, running BOV etc. My main question is what turbo would be the best for response? as I don't want lag and all the power at 6500-7000. I have looked at both the GT2554R and the GT2560R as I want ball bearing for obvious reasons. If anyone has used these 2 turbo's let me know what they performed like if you have any vids that would be sweet! doesn't have to be in a twin charged set either

Hi all, has any one seen this spoiler before? looks fair good IMO, just wondering if it was only on US models? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dSBypokMps&feature=related

Hi all as the title indicates, I'm wondering if it is possible to get head light protectors for AE71 lights? I want that extra granny spec detail as i have already got the rear louvre! Any advice on where to get them or if anyone has some in fair good condition and want to sell let me know! thanks Jason

Whats A Good 2L Egine For A Ae71
Twincam16seca replied to driftter's topic in AExx Corolla Discussion
yep what altezzaclub said, check the link out, the seller did have a package with 6spd gearbox and drive shaft too a little while ago so may still have one if you contact him. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-IS200-Altezza-3SGE-Beams-Engine-JDM-AE86-Corolla-/360284159159?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53e29bfcb7#ht_6770wt_1137 -

Hi all just wondering if anyone knows exactly what model in Australia and overseas this badge came on? I got this one from my local wreckers along with a brand new grille still in its plastic bag! i separated the front and gave it a clean and a shine at work (on the dental lathe, gotta use it for something good!) I also found it on this car when i googled ae71 sprinter, Also would love some of those bumpers too, point me the direction! so any help would be great!

Good Wreckers/Spare Parts In Adelaide
Twincam16seca replied to ilovecars's topic in AExx Corolla Discussion
what model and what parts you looking for? -
Hi all, Just wondering what a nice spring rate F/R would be for ae71 hill climber? i would like it firm yet streetable, not drift spec stiff so i don't want to hear 8kg front and 6/7 on the rears as it's way too stiff for my application as i have read else where. I want some wheel "droop" as i have heard it called, so the wheel can move up and down not just up! I'll use stiffer sway bars to help eliminate body roll. I have been looking at BC coilovers so if anyone has these on their car, ae86/ke70/ae71 it would be nice to hear what they are like quality wise/bang for your buck kind of thing. Thanks

super charged 20v didn't ever happen as far as coming stock in a ae101, the 16v 4agze did in the ae101 and they're the best of the 'ze motors. The only ae82's that came stock with rear discs are the twincam edition's in the hatch and seca. If you have been readin wiki's etc you should know this. Maybe read some more before you ask a question that has been asked too many times, but hey its all part of the process, good luck with the build!

Hi all, I am wanting to buy the hopper stoppers brake upgrade for my ae71 and will most probably be bolted to ae86 coilovers. what i want to know is if id have to run wheel spacers if i chose to run stock falcon 15's. I have contacted HS and they said they provide new hubs in what ever stud pattern, e.g 4x114.3 or 5x114.3 etc. I have been thinking of using an ED-EL xr6 lsd diff cut down for an upgrade as the brake set up would match very well, so i'm a bit stuck on whether or not to go corolla 4 stud or falcon 5 stud as i don't know if i can get blank rear rotors to get drilled to 4 stud. Any constructive opinions on what i should go with is appreciated.
