finding some xt130 struts is harder than i thought...do the t140, 141 fit? theres plenty of them at the wreckers. :P

thanks man! u been a real help. yeah the dude i bought my car off is an ae86 nut! he had 4 in his garage lookin very unfinished but awesome! his pride and joy 1 is the 2tg? one???? dunno, but yeah he was saying that about ae86 prices. i will just be road using, so spring and shock will do. maybe a quick 1 day or so at the track, maybe just the skid pan...dunno. but street is the main usage by far. corona seems to be sounding good. ill have a search around and see what people say. ok so the TVIS plate... i have the 86kw motor in mine with the 100kw intake... apparently the 86kw one fouls on the break booster in rwd format. the tvis sensor is just sota sitting there. i spoke to the dude i bought it off and he reckons the easiest way to do it would be, buy a legit rwd intake and plug the semsor back in??? what u reckon?? wow...getting off track...can we do this? I'm new here... :P

Hey dude, Thanks for pipin in and helpin out Sounds good, yeah, i do want to upgrade the whole strut, as you said the e7 breaks are piss. haha, very cute and small but thats about it. Everyone on here has so many different opinions, haha hard to figure out who knows, and who has just heard. know what i mean? so if i was to get a celica/corona/ae86 strut the would go in with their breaks and steering arms attached? i own a corolla because I'm on a budget, so i spose I'm looking for the best bang for buck. managed to pick my little gem up with a 4age for $2000 :) pleased with that. needs the RWD intake with the TVIS plate but still... fun drive. :)

Hey Trev, Cheers for the speedy reply, i have been told that the cartridge in the ke70/ae71 is thinner than others/many, so making them harder to find short stroke replacements. i have read the ae86 fronts fit, i was curious to know if a cheap (way cheaper :P) option was available. haha ae82 parts seem very cheap, plus a mate of mine has a dead on in his yard...happened to all of us a some point :) so there is no way to use them? bolt the hub. brakes to the strut? thanks again trev

Hey guys, I have an AE71, and I was curious if the front struts from an AE82 or 92 or whatever model are interchangeable? Any advise is much appreciated. this is my first rolla. yew! :D
